Millie's POV:
I don't think I've ever been in a more awkward situation in my life.
It was just uncomfortable and icky. That's the best way to describe it.
Sadie's dad reminds me of a lumberjack type guy who's intimidating at first, but once you start talking to him, he's such a beautifully kind person.
Plus he wears lots of flannels.
Gaten, Caleb, and Noah piled into the back row, leaving Sadie, me, and the person that I least wanted to see right now.
Finn.
I can't believe he actually-I just don't understand what the hell just happened. 2 years pass by without acknowledging each other's existence, and then this?
What the fuck, Finn?
Of course, Sadie climbs in first, so that she doesn't sit between us, even though she could just sit in the front. What a great friend she is. I was smaller than Finn, obviously, so I ducked into the SUV and plopped down in the middle seat.
I hate the middle seat, because you have to put your feet on that weird block dividing the two side seats. You could put your legs on either side of the block, but then you would be taking up the other people's space.
Finn climbed into the remaining seat, closing the door firmly after sitting down.
You're probably thinking, 'Oh Millie, it's not that bad, oh Millie, calm the hell down.'
Well, when you're forced to sit between your co-star who just hit on you, and your suspicious best friend, let me know how you feel.
Sadie's dad hit the gas hard, and my leg fell open and bounced off of Finn's. I immediately snapped my knee back up to where it was, and stared out the front window.
I close my eyes, and slowly start to turn my head towards Finn, and began to apologize, "I'm sorry Fi-" but then my voice caught in my throat.
He was looking at me with that same face from earlier. The weird sort-of-flirty-but-not-working look.
Finn was sporting his signature smirk, but his eyes were saying something different from normal. They were intense. And then to top it all off, he started wiggling his dark eyebrows.
I could feel my face heating up. I was furious. I was fed up with this attention. After so long, why now, and why in front of the other kids.
I jerked my head back to the forward postion, and I crossed my arms. The air was thick and humid with discomfort. I just wanted to die right there.
-----------
Finn's POV:
Millie's leg bumped mine.
Ha.
It wasn't funny though, it was like, I can't explain it.
"I'm sorry Fi-" she started, but then stopped herself when she saw my face.
She's cute when she's flustered. What the hell is wrong with me? Keep it professional, dude. She's your co-star for God's sake.
I forced my face to wipe blank, and I looked over at Millie who was now facing forward.
She was pissed.
She was hot.
God damn it, Finn. You're just going to annoy her more.
We arrived at set a few minutes early. I opened the car door and got out, quickly followed by a hasty Millie who speed walked away from the SUV the second it she got out. Sadie got out right after, jogging after Millie.
