Millie's POV:

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEASON TWO!" Matt Duffer called out to all of us in the hair and makeup trailer.

"Oh yeah!" Noah realized, his bowl cut flopping slightly as he turned his head toward the brothers.

"How could you forget?" Caleb asked Noah, who shrugged his shoulders.

"Happy birthday snowball," Gaten smirked, wiggling his eyebrows between Finn and I.

"Oh stop it," I laughed.

"Why would you stop such a great thing?" Caleb teased.

"Hey, you had to kiss someone too," I addressed.

"Who said I was talking about kissing?" Caleb replied smoothly, earning a collective 'Ohhh!' from the other people in the trailer.

"I didn't mean-" I started explaining myself.

"I get it. I mean, if I were you I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about kissing Finn either," Gaten joked, and I twisted in my chair to glare at him.

"Woah woah woah, no need to go all 'Eleven' on him, Millie," Noah said, making me smile slightly.

"Oh come on guys," Finn finally spoke in the chair beside me.

"Hey, how come we aren't talking about how it's Max's birthday too?" Sadie asked, changing the subject.

"Happy birthday Max!" I called out with a grin, standing up from my chair and rushing over to Sadie.

"Aw! I love you Mills," Sadie smiled, pulling me in for a tight hug as I leaned down to her chair.

"You guys are too cute," Ross piped up near the doorway. Huh, I forgot they were there.

"Since it's season two's birthday, you guys can have the rest of the day off after this scene," Matt offered.

"Really?" I asked hopefully, and Ross nodded in confirmation.

"Yeah! Go have some fun. And so help me God, post something on Instagram about season two. Anything at all," Ross added, and we nodded thoughtfully.

"Well, if you're all ready to go, let's shoot this thing!" Matt announced, and we slowly filed out of the trailer.

"Guys," Dustin mumbled quietly to himself, turning his back on the rest of the group that was standing in the middle of the Wheeler's cul-de-sac. He had a feeling something was behind him, and then-

BAM!

Lightning struck down from the blistering red sky, piercing the ground in front of him.

The party watched the world around them transform into the Upside Down.

"What the-" Max whispered quietly.

"Oh-Oh my God," Mike stammered anxiously.

"This isn't supposed to be happening," Dustin rambled out.

"No shit!" Lucas exclaimed, his voice cracking, "The Upside Down is supposed to be our world through a gate, not the Upside Down in our world!"

"Wait, so then what happened to our world?" Will asked shakily.

"Gone," Eleven whispered, almost inaudible.
