Finn's POV:
I woke up, slightly confused as I opened my eyes to find myself in my own room.
The memories from the day before flooded in as I glanced down at the girl in my arms.
I smiled, noticing her arms tightly wrapped around my middle as I moved slightly.
"Huh?" a tiny British voice gasped quietly into my chest.
"It's just me Millie, it's okay," I whispered softly, bringing a hand up to pet the back of her head, running my fingers through her soft hair.
"Where are we?" Millie asked, tilting her light brown eyes up to my darker ones.
"My house, remember?" I tried to jog her memory, and I could see her struggling.
"The fire?" I asked.
"Oh, right," she realized, then giggled softly, her hot breath brushing against my neck.
"Do we have filming today?" Millie questioned, and I shook my head no.
"The Duffers and Shawn are letting us take the day off to get settled," I answered, and she nodded slowly.
Creak...
"Rise and shine dear-" my mom opened my door suddenly, then stopped in her tracks.
I looked down at Millie, and we shared a wide-eyed glance.
"Oh, sorry! I'll leave you guys to it then," she started backing away.
"Mom!" I called after her, somewhat shakily.
"It's okay baby, I'll see you down at breakfast," my mom replied.
"No, it's-it's not like that," I lied.
"Mhm. And my name isn't Mary!" she exclaimed, then shut the door on the way out.
"Sorry Mills," I apologized with a sigh.
"No need to say sorry," Millie replied, snuggling impossibly closer.
"We should probably go eat breakfast," I suggested.
"One more minute," she whined, her eyes going big.
"Fine," I gave in, and Millie tilted her head back down onto my chest comfortably. I rested my chin on the top of her head, absorbing the wonderful smell that was Millie.
"Did you just smell me?" she asked.
"Yes," I admitted.
"Why?" Millie questioned.
"Because I love the smell of you," I answered truthfully, "I just love you."
"Oh Finn, stop it you're going to make me cry!" she nearly whimpered.
"Mills? What's wrong?" I asked, pushing her away slightly to tilt her chin up with my thumb.
"It just feels so nice to be loved," she exhaled, smiling widely as a happy tear rolled down her cheek.
"Aw," I said, then wiped her face with the edge of the blanket.
"Let's go downstairs," she said, and we climbed out of bed.
"Oh shit," Millie mumbled.
"Hmm?" I asked.
"I don't have any clothes here," she stated.
"You can borrow mine until you get more. I know Sadie's mom dropped off one outfit for her so you couldn't wear hers anyways," I offered.
"Okay, cool," Millie smiled, and I led her into my closet.
