Millie's POV:

"Lilia, Sadie, come on guys," I sighed, jutting my hip out to the side with slight annoyance. We were at the airport, saying bye to Lilia and Maddie.

"I'm going to miss you so much," Lilia whispered into Sadie's ear, the two holding each other like they're never going to let go. I glanced over to Maddie, who smiled at my dramatic eye-roll.

"Me-Me too," Sadie cried a little, causing Lilia to cry too.

"Guys!" I called a little louder, making Maddie jump a bit beside me.

"Oh would you just shut up Mill-" Sadie retorted, rocking side to side in Lilia's arms.

"-We would now like to board zone one for flight 450 to Los Angeles," a voice said over the intercom, cutting Sadie off.

"Bye Maddie," I pouted, then hugged her comfortably.

"Bye Millie, I'll see you soon, okay?" she asked, pulling from the hug to grab my hands.

"For sure," I nodded, giving her hands one last squeeze before releasing them from my grip. We shared a goodbye smile, and I watched Maddie turn to go to the gate.

Before my eyes landed back on Lilia and Sadie. They were an absolute mess: hair everywhere, all tangled up in each other's limbs, tear marks down their bright pink cheeks, giggling somehow sadly.

"Sadie, she has to go now," I said, trying my best to soften my tone.

"O-Okay," Sadie whimpered, backing up to hold Lilia at her elbows, "B-Bye Lilia."

"Bye S-Sadie," Lilia stammered, her eyes red and glossy like Sadie's.

"I'll talk to you s-soon," Sadie said, handing Lilia her suitcase handle.

"Of course," Lilia smiled toothily, taking the handle from Sadie. I raised an eyebrow when their hands sort of interlinked on the suitcase handle, and stayed like that for a moment before Sadie quickly pulled her hand back.

I forced my face to return to a neutral position, not wanting to feel like I was implying anything. Lilia smiled at Sadie one last time, then turned to me.

"Millie, thank you so much for everything," Lilia offered gratefully.

"You're welcome," I smiled in return, "It was a lot of fun-even though it was a short visit."

"God, no matter how long I stay, every visit feels like a short visit," she sighed.

"Too true," I glanced at the gate behind her where Maddie was waving Lilia over.

"I think you have to board now," Sadie piped up.

"Oh yeah," Lilia turned, seeing Maddie waving frantically at the three of us, and we shared a collective chuckle.

"Well, I'll talk to you guys soon," Lilia glanced at me, then to Sadie, where her eyes stopped there for a second.

And then Lilia winked, leaving the red haired girl in utter disbelief.

My eyes widened and lips parted as I watched the blonde and the brunette disappear behind the gate.

I turned to Sadie, still frozen in place, her jaw dropped so far that it was practically resting on the old 80's carpet flooring.

"Did she just-" Sadie finally spoke.

"She did," I confirmed, and Sadie gulped loudly. We exchanged a knowing glance, where I smirked teasingly and she looked like I had accused her of murder.

"Millie! " Sadie exclaimed, "It's not like that."

"Mhmmm...." I dragged out, absolutely killing  her.
