Millie's POV:
"I'll be there in a sec, I'm just going to the bathroom," I called out to the living room at Finn's, after feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket.
"Okay Millie!" Caleb returned, and I locked the door in the main floor bathroom. I took my phone out of my pocket, and turned it on to view the notification.
caroline.sartorius: thought you could get rid of me that easily?
Oh my God.
"Well fuck," I murmured under my unsteady breath. I unlocked my phone, typing in my password feverishly when face ID didn't work.
Me: Go away, Jacob.
caroline.sartorius: I'd rather not.
Me: And using your sister's phone to text me? Sad.
I giggled a little to myself.
caroline.sartorius: Whatever. I'm still getting through to you. Doesn't matter how.
Me: What the fuck do you want now?
caroline.sartorius: Not now. Maybe in a few days or so. I just wanted to make sure you knew I was still around.
Me: Fuck off.
caroline.sartorius: Settle down, bitch.
Me: I'm not a bitch. You are.
caroline.sartorius: Actually, you are.
Me: Stop texting me right now, or else.
caroline.sartorius: Or else what? What are you gonna do about it?
Me: Contact the police you immature cunt.
caroline.sartorius: tootles, biatch.
I threw my phone down onto the rug in front of the sink. I leaned over the sink, pressing weight into my hands as I stared at myself hard in the mirror.
"What the hell are you going to do..." I whispered to myself.
"Millie? Are you okay?" I heard Sadie ask on the other side of the door.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine," I stammered, slightly frightened by her sudden voice.
"Open the door a crack," she said, and I did.
"Did you start your period or something?" Sadie whispered, voice full of concern, "Cause I can go grab you a tampon or a pad."
"No no no, it's okay," I replied with a reassuring grin, "I'm not on my period."
"Oh okay. Just making sure you're alright," she smiled before closing the door. I picked my phone up from the floor, placing it back in my pocket before reopening the door and exiting the bathroom.
"Millie, guess what?" Noah said enthusiastically.
"What?" I asked, matching his enthusiasm sarcastically as I stood beside where he sat on the couch.
"Nick found the 2007 Wii," Noah replied.
"Oh my God! No way!" I exclaimed, genuinely this time. Just Dance was my life!
"Yeah, he set it up and Finn just went to get batteries for the remotes," Gaten added.
"I'm back!" I heard my boyfriend announce triumphantly as he ran down the stairs holding a pack of double A batteries.
"Okay, so Wii is four players max, so either we'll have to take turns sitting out, or two people just won't play," Finn explained.
"I'm good to sit out," Gaten informed.
