"You look like you belong in a mental institute sis."
"Well I'm going to one so it's best I look the part."
"At least change the top so we can see your distressed jeans more."
Groaning, I got out a simple white tank top and put it on. Anna knew I hate getting dressed up for people I don't care for so I didn't see the big deal about this.
"Thank you." She smiled.
"Whatever. Let's just go please."
Leaving my room, I went over to my mother to let her know we were leaving.
"You need any money?"
"No, I'm good."
Watching her as she held my brother while he slept, she nodded. After a very active day on his play date, he came home cranky so she gave him his bath and been with him since.
"Bye Mrs. Hassim." Anna told her as she followed behind me.
"I have never seen Siah that out of it." She laughed.
"He had a play date today so I'm not surprised."
"Really? With who?"
"Why you sound so surprised?" I laughed a little.
"Because I know how your parents are very protective."
"Yeah well they couldn't help this one and it was with Caitlyn."
"Caitlyn as in Josh's sister?"
"Yes."
"Wow."
"They're best friends so." I shrugged.
Taking the turn, I continued till we came up to Mark's house. As usual, cars were parked out front all along both sides of the street. Finally finding one, we got out. Watching Anna as she looked at herself in the window, I just shook my head.
"Ready now?"
"Yes."
Walking up the walk way, passing people with cups of God alone knew what, we entered the house. Looking around at my surroundings, I scanned for all possible exit points in case of any emergency.
"There goes Elijah." Anna said excitedly.
"Stop hitting my arm." I held her hand firmly.
"My bad. He just looks so good."
