I groaned and sat up, rubbing my head.

"Where...am I?" I looked around the small room.

I don't recognize this place...

But soon the door opened revealing someone that I did recognize.

Orin.

I rushed over, wrapping my arms around him and buried my face in his chest.

"You're awake." He mumbled, resting a hand on the back of my head. "Are you okay?"

I nodded, grip tightening.

"Okay...how about we go get you something to drink?"

I just shook my head, causing him to sigh.

"I'm not giving you a choice. Hold on." He lifted me up before walking out...

Wait, we're in the Cave? Then why was I in there?

"I want you to drink plenty of water. You were in there for a while. I didn't want to touch you while you were still unconscious. We both know how well that could end."

"Yeah...can you put me down?"

"Of course." He sat me on the couch...next to a certain sleeping Atlantean.

"Uh... what's with him?" I yawned.

"He had a headache so I managed to get him to sleep." He grabbed a  cup and filled it up. "Here."

I quickly downed it. "Thanks. So, are you going to explain why I was-"

"Batman thought your powers made you a danger. Do you want me to stay?"

I slowly stood up before hugging him. "I'll be fine. Besides Kaldur will literally glue me to his side. I appreciate it but he takes his oath way too far."

"You know what your father would do if he didn't. I am assuming he is the one who caused Kaldur's headache."

I stood there for a little bit, hesitant...do I ask him?

"How bad was it?"

"Not that bad. You just burst some pipes and caused a mini whirlpool...I broke a door down. But considering the fact that you could have done a whole lot more..."

I pulled away. "Well, tell Queen Mera hi."

He smiled. "Of course. You know where to find me if you need me."

"You're awake?" As soon as Orin was gone, Megan showed up.

"Yeah...but Kaldur is asleep. So sh..." I lightly rested a hand on his head, causing him to relax.

"Oh...okay. Well, if you want we're going to go into town so..."

"I think I'm gonna stay here. Thanks for the offer though."

Megan nodded before flying out of the room.

I sat down beside Kaldur, gently rubbing his back. He stretched and cracked his pale green eyes to peer up at me.

"Hi sleepy head, you feeling okay?" I smiled at him.

Groaning softly he sat up. "Better than earlier. Are you okay?"

I moved so I was pressed against him, resting my head on his chest. "I would say yes, but you know that's a lie."

"Well, I've literally known that lie for as long as I've known you." He raised a hand to rest on the side of my head.

"You wonder why I-"

"I do not care about your father's actions. He wishes to protect you just as much as I do."

Rolling my eyes I huffed. "You wanna go outside?"

"Whatever you wish to do. I will go along with it."

"No, do you want to go outside?"

"Yes..."

"Was that really that hard?" I moved away from him going to stand up, but he grabbed my wrist.

"However, I still have a bit of a headache and I think we should probably stay inside." He slowly stood before letting go of my wrist.

"Fine...but...come on." This time I grabbed his wrist and pulled him towards my room.

"What are we doing?" He questioned.

I rolled my eyes and entered my room, with Kaldur closing the door behind him.

Kneeling down, I searched through one of the bags and soon found what I wanted.

I sat it up on the bed.

"You want to look through this?" Kaldur commented laying down, leaving room for me.

"I mean why not? I could use a little bit of a reminder of not worrying about the world being destroyed by my family."

Kaldur flipped open the scrapbook.

The first picture was me and Kaldur as babies.

"We were so tiny." I mumbled before turning a few pages.

"Remember that?" Kaldur pointed at a specific picture.

I rolled my eyes. "No I totally don't."

"Kaldur..." I sighed. "What are you doing here?"

My best friend tilted his head. "I came to see you Your Highness."

I raised an eyebrow. Um...what?

He chuckled softly before entering my room. "Poseidon is the essentially King of the Sea therefore you would be a princess."

My hand reached for Riptide. "How do you know this?"

Sighing he pulled off his jacket, revealing...

"Gills?" I mumbled.

"I...am Atlantean. And...I am supposed to... become your guard."

"What do you mean by guard?" I sat on my bed, kicking my feet.

He simply knelt in front of me taking my hands and resting his forehead on them.

"I, Kaldur'ahm, swear my life and loyalty to Perseus Jackson, daughter of Poseidon, Princess of the Sea. To protect her with my life and to serve her faithfully until I die."

He paused drawing a deep breath. "I swear that I will keep her safe, that I will fulfill my duty to the best of my ability and to beyond them if necessary. I will abide by her orders and...I will always...always put her safety before my own."

Welp. That...was sucky...but I'm barely awake so...if you see this get republished I might have changed something
