"Kaldur, it is an honor to finally meet your friends and teammates." Queen Mera's eyes skimmed right over me to focus on Megan and Connor.

"The honor is all ours, Queen Mera. I lived on Mars my whole life without ever meeting a member of the royal family!" Megan smiled.

"There's a certain wisdom in inaccessibility when the queen carries the heir to the throne."

My queen cast a small smile at the prince. "Allow me to introduce Prince Orm, my overprotective brother-in-law."

"At least he has reason to be my queen." Percy swam in before standing next to me, her painted gills appearing to be as real as my own.

"Who are you?" Prince Orm stared at her.

"My name is Percy. I am a commander in the military my prince."

Commander?

Four years of military service can get you pretty far down here. Not a lot of people stick with it.

"Good, maybe your presence will deter any attacks while my brother is off playing Aquaman."

"King Orin's work with the Justice League is anything but a game, my prince." I looked at him.

"Of course. Still, I am glad you and your fellow champions are here Kaldur'ahm..." Prince Orm placed a hand on my shoulder. "There have been reports of unrest originating at the Conservatory of Sorcery."

I nodded. "We will depart for the Conservatory immediately."

"Actually, Orm may you take those two outside for a moment? I wish to speak with my husband's champions."

"Of course. Don't touch anything." The last part was directed to my friends as they swam out.

Queen Mera sighed and looked at Percy.

"It is wonderful to see you again my daughter. How are you?"

"I'm fine." Percy smiled.

"Kaldur...truly speaking, how is she?"

"Nightmares, flashbacks, panic attacks, survivor's guilt, and of course not telling me what she should." I counted them on my hand.

My queen pulled Percy into a hug. "I assume we have different definitions of the word fine."

Then she yawned and rubbed her eyes.

"Go to bed Mera. You need to sleep...for both you and the baby. You know, nobody ever told me you were pregnant."

"I will berate my husband for that when he returns. For now, how about you go to the Conservatory? There are many breakable objects outside and I am sure Orm is about to have a heart attack."

I nodded and grabbed Percy by the arm, swimming out to meet up with our friends.

"This way." I gestured for them to follow me, leading them towards the Conservatory.

"Kaldur?! Is that you?" Lori swam up to me and smiled. "It has not been that long since you last visited."

I returned her smile and released Percy so I could gesture at my friends.

"M'gann M'orzz, Superboy. These are some of my former classmates....Ronal, Blubber, Lori Lemaris, La'gaan, and Nanaue Sha'ark."

"That's King Sha'ark, chum. And don't you forget it!"

"You're all so different..." Megan stared at the group eyes drifting from each on of us.

They lingered the least amount of time on me and Ronal, with her knowing how I appear and Ronal appearing human.
