"Speak to me of Topo..." I followed after Garth.

"He was a victim of the Purists. They consider themselves the direct descendants of the original Atlanteans-" He stopped turning to look at me and my friends.

"And attempt to scare anyone they consider impure into leaving Poseidonis." Tula finished.

"What qualifies as impure? You all breathe water." Megan questioned.

"Tula and I appear human--and thus are considered pure..."

"But my visible gills render me impure." My shoulders dropped and I looked away.

"But only by the most rigid and ridiculous standards!" Tula stared at me.

I glanced at Percy, slightly concerned on what she would think of this but I could not discern any emotion from her.

"But I was just here, and there was no word of this...?" I looked back at Tula.

Though I should have looked at Garth as he was the one to answer.

"The old prejudices have always lurked under the surface Kaldur, but the clash between skin and scales, flesh and fins has escalated rapidly and seemingly without cause into violence and intimidation."

"Let go of me!!"

Wait that is...

We took off towards the source of the noise, only to see Sha'ark holding Ronal by the front of his shirt.

"This doesn't look good." Percy mumbled.

"We know you are Purists!" Lori glared at the three Atlanteans behind Ronal.

"You can't hide behind your robes and hoods!" La'gaan added.

"Do we appear to hide barbarian?!" The only girl in Ronal's group shifted into a fighting position.

"Your kind already infects Tritonis, Nanauve, Neptunos, Lemuria, Shayeris-" The first guy yelled before the second added to it.

"Even Crastinus!!"

"Sha'ark! What are you doing with Ronal?!" I yelled.

"Preparing supper." He pulled his classmate closer.

"You will let him go!" Megan used her telekinesis to separate them.

"Careful Earther! Come between a shark and his meal, and you become the meal!"

Connor moved infront of him. "Try me, instead, you'll break your teeth...chum."

"Who started this?!" I demanded.

"They did!!" Lori and Ronal yelled at the same time.

Even without me and Percy being in the link...I could tell she was thinking that this sounds like the gods.

"My friends and I were minding our own business when the Fish-Heads attacked us!"

Lori grabbed Topo by the shoulder. "And what was Topo doing when you and your friends attacked him?!"

"Please, leave me out of this..." He tried to pull away.

Percy swam over and pulled him to her chest. "I've got you Topo."

"You cannot know that was us!" Ronal yelled.

The girl in his group smirked. "But if your kind like not your treatment here, you are welcome to leave Poseidonis!"

Connor growled and was about to get involved but Sha'ark shook his head.

"This is not your concern Earther."

"But it is ours!" I drew my waterbearers and I knew Garth and Tula were behind me.

Percy released Topo so she could join me, water swirling around her hands.

"C'mon chum. Let's swim." Sha'ark pulled Topo away, to get him out of harm's way.

Luckily Ronal and his friends left as well.

As they disappeared from my sight, I sheathed my water bearers and sighed.

"So uh...what are we going to do for the rest of the day?" Percy forced a smile.

Later

Superboy, M'gann, perhaps you'd prefer the Bioship to sleeping in Atlantean pods?

I'd be fine...if you'd just stop calling them 'pods'. Connor didn't spare me a glance.

I prefer this, Kaldur, it reminds me of being back in the womb.

I glanced around the room. Where is Percy?

My question was soon answered as she swam in.

"All the other beds are full. I'll just float." She laid back in the water, hair swirling in a gentle current.

"Should I attempt to argue or simply let you sleep?" I looked at her.

Groaning softly she swam towards me. "Move over."

Before she could force me over...or even out of the pod...

"SOS animation!" I shot up into a sitting position and stared at the image of Queen Mera.

"Kaldur'ahm! I need you!"

I looked at Percy and shot up grabbing my waterpack.

What was that?!

We must go. Now!

We rushed to the palace, Percy propelling us along.

There! It is Ocean Master! And he has the queen!

"Hold traitors!"

As some Purists broke off of the main group, we quickly disabled them without slowing.

"Release Queen Mera! Unhand her!"

"Delay them! Ocean Master commanded.

It did not matter though, since Percy simply slammed them into a wall with a wave of her hand.

"You know where to take her." Ocean Master directed his troops.

"You will not take her anywhere!" I yelled, exiting into open water.

"So now the Fish-Head issues commands? A little time among royalty, and he believes himself royal as well."

I glared at him, all too aware of the danger that I am putting Percy in by not making her leave.

"But proximity does not create majesty, Fish-Head, nor wisdom apparently. The royal palace has spells in place, allowing only the use of defensive magic..."

He pointed the trident at us and magic energy arced towards us.

I groaned and felt my body go limp. My vision began to fade to black.

"But outside the palace is quite a different story."

Okay...

I think I might be able to finish out this little story arc thingy in another chapter.

Hopefully...

And my friend who reads this will probably think I'm insane for typing this much but considering I'm typing out the comic...with Percy added in...

I'll tell you what, it's better than the time I watched Civil War and used that to write a book...

It took forever to write a chapter...

Anyway

See yah
