(Y/N)'s POV:

After Weiss closed the window I started to make my way around to the front to see them leave, and maybe-just maybe, get another glimpse of Willow to see she's alright. I hid around the corner just to catch her children climbing into their vehicle and start to depart from this fortress of a mansion through a crowd of people standing in their way. Makes me glad I'll never have to deal with such a nuisance in the middle of the ocean. I mentally told myself seeing them struggling to get through the nosy crowd. As they left, the gate started to close and the crow dispersed after failing to get some answers to Jacques's arrest before I climbed back over the fence and left this place. "Now to make my way to Ironwood's den." I said to myself walking through some trees and bushes before finding the road going in the direction I needed. Getting there fast enough was gonna be a slight task. The cold never bothers me, but I know Willow would freeze at this temperature during the night, so I ended up wearing a heavy coat to keep her warm on the fast walk back. I rummaged through my pockets until I found and pulled out a map I marked with the locations Weiss told me. "Atlas, Atlas, Atla-there it is!" I pointed to the school at the far end of the city. "I'm gonna have to find another way back. That's too damn far."

I started to quicken my pace while thinking of a way to get Willow and I back to the shore to leave while praying Weiss convinces her to come with me.

Weiss's POV:

Once we arrived at the academy, I notice Ironwood and Ozpin were standing and waiting for us at the main entrance. "Thank you Klein!' I said smiling. "You're welcome Weiss. I'll bring your backs from the trunk Miss Schnee after I park the car." I looked over to mom and saw her giving Klein a smile and replied, "Thank you." We got out and started to head in with Ironwood not saying a thing to us since he and Ozpin were deep into a conversation. The two lead us down a variety of hallways and corridors until we got to a section that wasn't bustling with students and officers. "Weiss. This is your room. Your sister is the next one here and your mother and brother are gonna be across from you two." Ironwood said pointing to the doors. After we thanked him we all went to our rooms to unpack. After nearly twenty minutes past by when Klein brought all our bags in to each of our rooms, apparently everyone thought he was lost and didn't give him directions to our rooms. As he came into my room, I notice Winter following him and shutting the door before turning back to me. "Are you gonna explain now?" I gave her a look to shut up as Klein stared at us in curiosity, but went back to putting my suitcases away and left. I shut the door calmly behind him and looked back at Winter. "Are trying to get me caught!?" "I wouldn't be asking if you'd stop avoiding the question." She remarked. I signed while looking down before taking a seat on my new bed. "I wanted to convince mom to run away with (Y/N). To get her away from all this-this-" Winter finished my statement, "All this relating to our father." "Yes! She can finally be free to live a better life without having to worry about him. To get away from all the publicity involving his crimes!" Winter took a seat next to me in silence until I asked, "Do you think I did the right thing?" She turned her head and looked at me smiling. "Weiss, it may have been a bit rash to do such a thing-" I looked away thinking she was about to change her attitude to a rude one. "-but I don't see why I can't help you convince her to leave with him." I looked back with my adrenaline starting to rise. Before I could say anything we both froze staring at the door to see Whitley looking in at us. "What can we do for?" I asked nicely, trying to hide my new found energy. "I heard what you two were talking about." I looked at him in surprise while Winter tried to make up an excuse, but to no avail. He came in and shut the door before turning around to face us ready for a harsh punishment, but I knew-Winter knew none of us could do that to him. I calmly got up and approached him as he watched my every move with caution. I put my hand on his shoulder and said, "Whitley, there's something we'd like to discuss with you. Please take a seat." We looked at each other for a minute or so before he walked over and took a sea from the desk near the bed and turned it around for him to see us. I took my spot while Winter said, "We know mom hasn't had a great time living with our father. After everything that unfolded with mom, the pirates, and father, we've come to a conclusion to get her away from him. From all this that's happening because of him. We could explain, bu-" "I'll help." Both Winter and I stared at him surprised as he said that. "You will?" I asked getting more excited. "I will. I always though our father was the brightest, smartest, and most cunning of all people. After hearing what he did, I don't want to anything like him. If it helps mother get a better life, than count me in." I jumped up and hugged him while Winter watched smiling. "You're crushing me Weiss!" Whitley managed to say while I held him tightly in my embrace. I let him as he started to catch his breath, "Heh-heh-heh, oops." Was all I said while Winter tried not to laugh. She stood up after our little moment and said, "Let's go speak with mother shall we?" Whitley and I looked at her and nodded. While we left my room Whitley asked, "Later when we have the time, could you two tell me how mom and this pirate I've heard about met?" I looked at Winter as she looked at me with the same expression before we turned to him answering, "Most definitely!" I could've sworn I could see his soul through his eyes jump around excited. "We'll tell you how they met, what they did, and how it came down to him saving her once and for all." He quickly interjected, "Guess not knights wear shining armor." I looked at him bewildered at his comment. Winter did the same as he gave a cheesy smile before we came to mother's door. "Shall I-" Whitley didn't even let me ask as he knocked on her door. I didn't protest seeing how he wanted to make up for everything that he was mislead to doing because of the jerk of a father. "Yes?" We all stood before mom in silence before Whitley took the lead once more. "Mind if come in? There's something we would like to talk about with you." She gave him a curious look before stepping aside while holding the door open for us. Winter, Whitley, and I took a seat before mom closed the door and sat herself on her bed and asked, "So what did you three want to talk about?" We all looked at each other before mother caught on something wasn't quite right. "What did you three want to tell me?" She asked getting a bit more serious. "We-um wanted to ask..if you would like..." I tried to say without making this any more awkward than it already was, but boy was I failing. "We wanted you to run a way with (Y/N)." Winter quickly said. Our mom stared at her in shock before looking back at Whitley and me. "Is this a joke!? If it is, I'm not finding it amu-" "It's not a joke mom. We want you to leave with this (Y/N)." Whitley interjected. "Why would you three want me gone?" She asked sounding a bit upset. I rushed to her side and hugged her saying, "We want you to be happy. Happy and free from our father, from all this trouble he caused, away from all this stress." I felt mom embrace me and with some tears falling on my shoulder. "I...I...I'm n-not sure if I can-" She went quite once more as Winter Whitley hugged her as well. "Please mom! I know we haven't spent time together, but I don't want you to be sad any more. I want you to live your life as you choose, whether it's with a pirate or not!" She started to cry and held us all in a hug while we comfort her. We stayed like that for as long as she wanted until she finally let go to straighten her posture. She wiped her tears away before asking, "What will you three do? I mean you're still in school Weiss! Whitley has yet to go through with it, and Winter-you're still in the military. How do you three plan to-" "I have a friend who I can live with until everything settles down." I interjected. "I can stay here for the time being. Whitley can too." Winter said smiling along with Whitley. "I'll be alright mom. I'll make sure to never follow in his footsteps ever again." She smiled and gave Whitley a bone crushing hug which got a groan from him that made Winter and I chuckle at his current demise. "Aw is someone uncomfortable with hugs?" Mom teased him. "No-you all keep crushing me with every hug you gibe!" He said trying to get free. We all couldn't help but laugh as he struggled, but mom finally let him go which got a adorable pout from his as he took his seat. She looked at me and asked, "What about the business?" I simply waved my hand in front of me saying, "I'll try to fight it in court to take control. If I can't get it, then that's that. It's not what it use to be since he took over, but if I do get it back, I'll make sure to fix the Schnee's reputation." She stared at me smiling before responding, "Never be afraid to ask your friends for help get started on a new life if you don't get it back." I nodded and got up as Winter said the same thing. "What are you gonna pack?" We asked looking at mother. It was near morning when someone knocked on the door.

Winter's POV:

Whitley was closest to the door and answered it. "Can I help you?" I didn't hear what the person on the other side was saying, but I knew he was important since Whitley stood out of the way. I stood at attention when I saw the rank on the uniform and saluted while asking, "General sir! What brings you here?" He shut the door for Whitley and slowly turned around when Weiss and I saw through who it was as he made a simple salute with his index and middle finger saying, "Please stop that. It makes me feel useless." Whitley and mother looked up at him confused while Weiss and I instantly knew who it was. "How did you get here!?" Weiss asked in shock. "You'd be surprised who I ran into on my way here." (Y/N) said taking off the general's coat showing what he was wearing underneath. "(Y/N)!?" I turned around to see mother getting a coat on staring at him in surprise. "Hello again Willow. Have they...have they asked you yet?" He asked while she stood there looking at him. Weiss quickly answered, "We did, and she's almost ready to go!" He looked at her before looking back at our mom with a smile forming rather quickly. She rushed to him and embraced him in a hug as he picked her up and spun around before letting her down onto her feet. "How did you get here?" She asked. "I ran into someone who was looking for a bit of cash and tried to rob me. I managed to get a ride here after giving the person a bit of coin, but I'm afraid I may not have a plan to get us back to the city docks as fast as I'd wished." I stepped in and said, "I can have us flown back to the docks, but we'd have to do it soon. Someone will notice a airship leaving in the middle of night." He looked at me with a warm smile and nodded to me. "Let me get my things." Mom quickly said running to the suitcases on the other side of the room while Whitley tugged on (Y/N)'s coat. He turned and looked down at Whitley asking, "Yes lad?" He looked up and said, "Thank you mister for making my mom happy. Please take care of her for us please?" I was gonna say something, but (Y/N) kneeled down and replied, "You must be Whitley yes?" He nodded to (Y/N)'s question. "You have my word she'll be safe from all things looking to harm her. You have my word on my life." He said holding his hand near his heart while looking at Whitley. I saw him smile as stuck his hand out which (Y/N) took and shook making a promise. After he solidified his promise, (Y/N) stood up and asked, "Ready Willow?" She zipped her last suitcase and nodded as he walked over and grabbed them for her. "Follow me." I said opening the door. I lead (Y/N) and mom through several hallways, corridors, and a few rooms before coming to a side of the academy grounds where several airships were docked and sitting. "Gonna fly us back to the city docks?" "Yep!" Mom quickly interrupted, "When did you learn how to fly an airship!?" I opened the side door and replied, "It's part of the training for emergencies, but we need to go now. This will alert someone here about its unauthorized departure which will have it tracked to where it's going." "Then it's best we get moving then." (Y/N) stated. Mother turned around to see Whitley and Weiss standing behind her and hugged them once more while saying, "I'll come back to see you all. I promise." "We know mom. You better get going" Whitley said after they let each other go. "We'll keep anyone from looking for you while you're away Winter." Weiss said as I nodded while boarding the ship.
