The trial was stopped for a short break.

Namjoon wiped his forehead with a handkerchief and nodded to Sejeong.

She smiled tensely. "I appreciate the evidence you've given, but you know the police will be arresting you soon."

"I know. When will Kang Daniel be arrested?" He planned for Yoohyeon to be his distraction in escaping.

"When this trial is over today, most likely." She nodded. "Such a young boy..."

"Will what I've given you definitely be enough?"

"More than enough. We also have the evidence leaked to the news sites on our side." Sejeong pursed her lips. "You don't strike me as a bad man."

"All I wanted was to succeed."

Gahyeon looked up from her laptop at the incessant vibrating of her phone and answered it. "Hello, Daniel?" Her heart rate rose and her other hand tapped idly on the desk.

"Heya, Gahyeon. Your voice sounds pretty over the phone."

"Oh...thank you." She accepted in a tiny voice. "Yours too. Er...What did you call for?"

"I was just, um, wondering if you'd like to meet me somewhere. For a date."

The word 'date' made Gahyeon ooze with excited and romantic imagery. "Sure! Where are we meeting?"

He gave her the location. "Now you don't have to spend your day watching that Lee  Jinki's trial."

"It's today?"

"Yeah. Is your sister part of the security there?"

Gahyeon listened and heard the sounds of her sister preparing to leave. "Most likely. I'll get ready now and I'll be there as soon as possible. Bye!"

As Gahyeon left the house, her sister Yoohyeon was entering the car.

"Where're you going?"  Yoohyeon asked suspiciously as she turned and saw the way Gahyeon had dressed up - Delicate and girly make-up, a long pale pink shirt and a white skirt and trainers.

"Just meeting my friends." She said breezily.

"I saw how much work you have to do, Gahyeon." She glared. "I don't think you should be going out today."

"You can't stop me." She replied dismissively and walked past the car and walked off the pavement. "See ya."

Yoohyeon was tempted by the idea of following her sister, but quickly shook her head. Gahyeon was meeting friends and she should be part of the security team at Jinki's trial. Go figure. Slowly, Yoohyeon started the engine and drove off.

Outside of a bland house, Gahyeon paused. Her maps app said that it was the correct location. Did Daniel really live there?

She walked through the open gates and was met by overgrown grass flopping onto the stone path. The huge itself was nicely designed, with a balcony on the second floor overlooking the garden and was painted completely white.

Daniel walked out onto the balcony made of whie-painted bars, and gestured for her to come up. "Come on up, Gahyeon!" He called cheerfully.

How could she not obey him?

Obligingly, Gahyeon walked to the door, also open. Inside, the house was bare and she could see imprints of where furniture had been and brighter marks on the wall where things had been hung up. Was this illegal? She was walking into an empty house. Daniel was in the house too, so she felt reassured and climbed the two sets of stairs, easily finding the large room Daniel was in.
