Chapter 8
"Nicholas! You certainly surprised us." I said as I looked at Sofia as I knew she had no idea he will be coming so soon.
"I am sorry. Let me introduce you to my cousin Kylie. Kylie this is Nicholas LeMair." I said as I needed to distract myself from staring at his incredibly beautiful eyes.
"Hello." he said smiling.
"Nice to meet you. Please sit down." Kylie said enthusiastically and pointed at the free chair at the table.
"Thank you." he said as he sat down.
"Papa how come you are here so early?" Sofia asked him.
"Well mon ange I missed you very much." he said and kissed her on her forehead.
"You knew about this?" Sofia looked at Chloe who was sitting down to the table.
"Yes she helped me to surprise you here." he answered instead of Chloe.
"I think it worked." Chloe said smiling.
"It did." Sofia replied. Yes it certainly did. "How did you came?" she asked
"I took the company jet as always." he said.
"I forgot my book there when we were flying to Africa." she said.
"I got it for you. Don't worry. And Captain Simon was really disappointed when he didn't had his co-pilot with him." he pointed at her.
"Really?" he nodded.
"Yes. He says hi and can't wait for another flight with you." he smiled at her as she laughed.
"I can't wait either. But now I have a good time here." she laughed.
"How is your day ladies?" he asked and looked at me. I think I am going to drown in those eyes.
"Wonderful." I said and smiled at him. You made it even better – I wanted to add. His eyes didn't loose mine as we were staring at each other.
"So Nicholas." I heard Kylie interrupt our moment.
"I heard you own an energy company." she started.
"Yes you heard correctly." he looked at her.
"Well my husband and I are considering to install solar panels. What would you recommend?" she asked as I looked at her surprised. I didn't know they were thinking about it.
"It depends on the property and how much energy your house needs. If you would like I can look at it and tell you more." he answered.
"That would be great. I will tell that to Danny, he is more of the technical type and you two can meet to discuss it. If you will have time of course." she said.
