Sabina's POV- March 2018

I carefully climbed off my bed making sure not to wake Salem who was curled up at the end of my bed. The last time I had seen Adrian was a little over a week before he left on a road trip. It was 3 AM and he had called me about 20 minutes ago asking if he could come over to see me because he had missed me, how cute right?. I admit I felt my stomach flutter when he told me that and I told him he could come over. As I made my way down the stairs, I took a deep breath before stopping at the bottom in front of the door. Adrian looked up from his phone just as I opened the door.

"Hey"

A smile formed as he stepped forward and pressed his lips against mine.

"I hope you don't mind sharing a bed with Salem," I told him.

He closed the door and made sure it was locked before following me up.

"I'm pretty sure I'll pass out as soon as my head hits the pillow"

The exhaustion was clear on his face, but he insisted on coming over.

"I've got a weighted blanket, and it is the best thing ever," I said.

"I might have to buy me one for myself if it turns out being the best thing ever as you say"

We made our way inside, and as I locked the door I noticed Salem was exiting the downstairs bathroom where his litter box was.

"Well hello there"

It was so strange to see the adoration Salem had for Adrian.

"Long time no see little fella"

I followed them up the stairs and into my room.

"Do you have to be up early tomorrow?"

"No" I answered.

Adrian smiled as he placed Salem on the bed and turned to me.

"Then I don't feel that bad for waking you up"

I smiled and climbed up on my bed.

"Are you planning on sleeping in your suit?" I questioned.

"No, I brought clothes"

"Well free to strip down here or in the bathroom," I said before getting under the blankets.

As he stripped off from his suit, I scrolled through IG.

"Are you busy tomorrow?"

"I am not" I responded.

"There's this place that has country fried steak, and for some reason, I really want a biscuit"

"Oooh, sounds yummy" I stated.

"Do you want to get brunch tomorrow with me?"

"I'm always up for sleeping in and eating brunch," I told him.

"Great"

I shifted on my side to shut off the light as he climbed up on the bed. Salem hopped up on the bed and began purring as he kneaded on the blanket.

"Is it weird that I missed you?"

A smile formed on my face as I turned to face him.

"You talked to me every night" I reminded him.

He was so close that I could feel the light warm puffs of his breathing against my cheek.

"Did you change your body wash?"

I laughed as he evidently sniffed me.

"I did" I confirmed.

"You smell like lavender"

"What do I usually smell like?" I questioned.

"Cucumber"

He was correct.

"I ran out of my usual body wash last night," I told him.

My dad had gifted me a couple of soap infuse sponges.

"So what did you use?"

"A soap infused sponge" I stated.

"Those exist?"

"Yeah, my dad gifted me a lot this past Christmas," I said.

I laughed.

"Do I smell? Is that why I'm always gifted body wash?" I questioned.

He chuckled.

"I think it's just an athlete thing"

"Is that why you always smell different?" I wondered.

"Oh, you smell me too?"

"Yeah" I confirmed.

He yawned.

"Sorry"

"Don't be sorry, you're exhausted, you had a long day," I told him.

He hummed.

"But we're talking"

"About body wash, we can talk in the morning," I said.

"Okay"

I felt the weight of his hand on my hip.

"Is this weird?"

"It's not" I stated.

"Fair warning, I'm a big cuddler"

"It's a good thing it's a chilly night then" I replied.

Once his breathing deepened and got shallow, I shifted facing away from him. Much to my surprise, he got closer and pressed his nose against my shoulder. Turns out Adrian is, in fact, a cuddler and an incredibly heavy sleeper.
