Sabina's POV- Thanksgiving 2018

Adrian quietly took a seat on the passenger seat.

"Morning" I greeted.

He smiled and met me halfway for a quick kiss. I turned my attention to the back seat of my car as the door closed.

"Hey, thanks for letting me tag along with you guys"

"This one is a horrible co-pilot, so your presence is welcomed" I noted.

Adrian chuckled and took a sip of my coffee. He immediately scrunched up his nose and coughed.

"Ugh"

I laughed and looked at Paul.

"Want some black coffee?" I asked.

"What kind?"

Adrian looked at Paul.

"Is there a difference?"

Paul chuckled and nodded.

"Yeah"

As he took a gulp of coffee, Adrian scrunched up his nose.

"You like it black?"

Paul shrugged.

"You should try Stevie's cold brew"

I laughed.

"I'm sure he'd throw up" I stated.

My statement earned a chuckle in response from Paul and a nod of agreement from Adrian.

"Both of you put on your seatbelts" I ordered.

Once their seatbelts were buckled I began driving. The drive to Thousand Oaks was about an hour and a half at the moment. There was lots of traffic at the moment, both going to LA and going out of LA. Adrian fell asleep about a half hour drive in. I glanced up at the rearview mirror to see Paul was looking out the window.

"Something on your mind?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah actually"

He adjusted his seatbelt as he sat up.

"You've met Stevie's parents, right?"

They were like family to me.

"Only a handful of times" I replied.

He scrunched up his nose.

"Dumb question"

There's no such thing as a dumb question.

"Stevie's parents are incredibly kind people," I told him.

"I know nothing about them"

Poor guy, he was going in blind.

"Her mom, Drew is a dentist and her dad, Jesse is a pharmacist" I disclosed.

"That's not intimidating at all"

I smiled.

"They're just happy she showed interest in a guy," I said.

Stevie dated, but the guys would drop her when they realized her main priority was school and not them,

"She's never brought a guy home?"

"She has not" I confirmed.

He paled up (more than he already was).

"But you should not worry" I assured him.

He leaned back against his seat and took a deep breath.
