"Cas, stop!" You grabbed his wrist stopping him. "They'll kill you!"
He gently pulled his arm from your grasp. "I have to y/n. I'm the only one who can do it."
"Don't." You whispered.
"I have to."
"Why? Because god told you to?" You scoffed.
"You have no faith."
"Cas, I do have faith." You protested. "But not in a God who abandons us. Not in a God who's only there when it's convenient."
The angel tilted his head, listening.
"I believe in the things I can see, the things I can touch with my own hands." You stepped closer to him. "I believe in people, I believe in doing what's right."
You rested your hands on his chest, and his blue eyes softened.
"I believe in you." You whispered, standing on tiptoe to kiss the angel. He cupped your cheek with one hand, wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you close.
"I love you, y/n." He whispered. "But I have to do this." He looked toward the warehouse.
You nodded, stepping back. "Go. I'll be waiting for you." You promised.
He stooped to kiss you one last time before turning and walking into the building.
