I walk out of my class and decided to greet Austin before going down for lunch. I didn't see him in the morning and he missed our breakfast date down at the school garden - we've grown quite fond of the place. I waited for him for the whole forty minutes of break time but he didn't show up.

He said that he was going to prepare sandwiches for both of us yesterday and to say that I was equally blown away and astonished was an understatement. I was so excited that I didn't sleep much last night.

But then, he didn't show up and I couldn't help but wonder why.

"I'll meet you at the cafeteria." Ray pats my shoulder and gives me a sympathetic look. I tell her that Austin was suppose to talk to me about something (I didn't tell anyone officially - except for Henry - that we are dating) but he didn't meet me like we planned.

I give her a nod and she goes off. I sigh and walk down the corridor. What I find at the end of it was quite unexpected; I found my boyfriend leaning against the wall and Cara standing in front of him with her arms crossed in front of her chest.

I gasp softly and hide behind a wall, trying to eavesdrop their conversation. Trust me, if your boyfriend is talking to the person who you despise the most in the world, you would do the same.

"When will you tell her, Austin?" I hear Cara say as I try my best not to let them notice me. "I need time, Cara. I can't just walk up to her and say that." He says in distraught.

Who were they talking about? And what does Austin need to tell the person?

"You need to tell her or she would be so-"

"Infuriated?" I could imagine Austin raising an eyebrow.

"Actually, I was looking for the word 'indignant'." She points out.

Indignant? Who uses that word? And who would be pissed and why?

"If she knows that you planned this whole thing, she would definitely be pissed. I can't let her know that you helped me planned it or she would be so-"

"Downhearted?" This time, the roles are reversed. I could imagine Cara with that like-hell-I-care look.

"As a matter of fact, the word I was looking for was wretched but I guess downhearted works too." Austin says and my curiosity level grows higher.

"Austin, Paradice has to know what I did for her. I helped you to plan everything, for God's sake" Cara snaps at Austin. "You didn't help me with anything, Cara. You just help me to choos-"

I couldn't hear this anymore. I think I'm going to be sick. I gasp because a thought flashed through my mind. Zach was right; Austin is two-timing behind my back. He told me to be careful but I didn't listen.

I sprint to the cafeteria so they wouldn't notice me but luck wasn't on my side. "Par!" Austin yells and I hear his footsteps behind me. I run as fast I can away from him and into the cafeteria.

Every pair of eyes are on me when I entered. Ray immediately stands up and rush to my side. "Paradice, what the hell? You look like you've just seen a ghost." She states. Before I could even reply her question, I dash to the nearest bathroom and vomit my guts out.

As I throw up, my tears couldn't help but flow down my cheeks

I hear Ray screech at the sight in front of her behind me and then the door is slammed open. "Paradice, hear me out." I flush the toilet and then go to wash my mouth. From the mirror, I see Ray pushing Austin out of the toilet but he didn't bulge. He is still standing there with a sad look on his face.
