MY CLASS sat ashamed in Master Lin's class as Willie stood in front of the class, telling the class how he completed his assignment, mostly every detail of it. I couldn't help but raise a brow as it sounded like the story he was explaining sounded a lot like when Marcus explained the guy he was going to kill.

I dismissed it, however, when Master Lin called my name. I look at him, "Your turn."

I stood from my seat as Willie took his. I walked up to the front and turned to see my class, Marcus particularly as he met my eyes. I look away and toward Lin who eyed me also, "Last night, I killed a guy. His name was Arthur Kinley, known for raping and molesting little girls while the police did nothing because they were in his favor."

"How did you kill him?" Master Lin asked me and I tried to think back on how I did it.

I couldn't remember what I did.

I look down at my hands. That's all I could remember. The blood on my hands and the man in front of me, his neck cut open. I held the mail opener in my hands, its thin figure drenched and coat with his blood.

"I..." I paused, "I went into.. into his apartment and found him sitting in his living room. His home office was close by, so I went in to find my weapon of choice."

"Which was?"

"It was uh- it was a letter opener. It was so thin that it could slip through your fingers, but it was sharp enough to cut off one of them," I answered, still staring down at my hands, "I didn't leave his office since I heard him making his way there, so I hid behind the door until he came in.." I took a deep breath, seeing as after that my mind went blank and restarted for me to see Arthur, dead.

"And then what happened?" Lin asked.

I cleared my throat and look at him, my eyes bringing on tears, but I blink them away, "I slit his throat, rolled him up in his rug and dumped him in the river," I then smirked a bit, "He was heavy, so it took almost an hour for me to even get him out of the car."

The class chuckled, but Lin gave a look for them to shut up instantly. I bow my head as he spoke, "You can take a seat now, Ms.Reynolds."

I hurriedly make my way to my seat and watch as he makes it to the front of the room now. He began to speak, but I was so in my thoughts that I couldn't listen to his speech until he slammed his cane on a desk, startling me.

He looked around, "Since only two of you were capable to complete the assignment, we'll have a new test to prove your worth. Survive and you'll earn a place here. Fail and you die," He told the class, "The weak do not belong in my school."

He then sent us off, and Marcus tapped my shoulder, "Hey, you alright?"

I hesitantly nod before Lin called my name, making turn from Marcus. Marcus then rushed out of the class, seeing as Lin wanted him gone with the rest of the class. Willie stayed as well, sitting in front of his desk, avoiding eye contact.

Lin looked at me, motioning toward a chair, "Pull up a seat, won't you?"

I then slid a chair out from under a desk and move it next to Willie, quickly sitting down. A small monitor inside his desk was lifted before Lin spoke into a microphone he pulled out also. The sound of his echoed through the class and out into the hallway, triggering the loudspeaker before he put the microphone away.

Willie and I sat in silence for awhile until we heard grunting and yells from the monitor. I swallowed the lump in my throat as Lin raised the volume, then looked at us, "I am proud of you both. You've completed your assignments, but tell me... why do you feel like your victims deserved to die?" I winced at the yelling, having it bring back memories of my past, "Brynn?"

I looked at him and my heartbeat rises, "Can I use the restroom? I'm not... I'm not feeling too good."

He then eyed me before nodding and I wasted no time jolting out of my seat and out the room, not even waiting on a verbal response.

I rushed to the bathroom and into a stall before throwing up my breakfast. My body ached when I flushed the toilet and leaned against the stall door. I looked down at my hands again, but for some reason they were shaking and my breathing was picking up seeing as I felt like I couldn't catch an ounce of oxygen.

I was having a panic attack.

I continued to grasp for air when I left the stall, trying to reach for the sink. However I failed and fell onto the floor before I heard a knock on the door, "Hey, is everything okay in there?" A male voice asked but I couldn't answer.

"Help-" I tried to say, but my voice was strained and my body felt like it was going into shock when I heard him knock again and yell for help when he didn't hear me answer.

I've had moments like this before. I've been through situations where I get a panic attack, and on most rare days from the panic attacks, I'd get a seizure.

I was hoping that today wasn't one of those rare days. Before my eyes slipped close, the door burst open and a guy stands over me, "Hey, breathe. You're just having a panic attack."

No shit, captain obvious.

He called for help again, but no one came, "Keep your eyes open for me, alright?" I tried to nod, but I failed miserably until he cursed lowly to himself and placed his lips on top of mine.

My eyes shoot open at his touch, but I feel myself starting to relax when I realize how soft his lips were, which made my eyes slip close. My hand instinctively rests on his shoulder and when he noticed that my panic attack was subsiding, he slowly removed himself off me.

When I still feel him towering over me, I slowly open my eyes to see Lex, which made my eyes go wide before I shove him hard off of me, "What the hell, Lex?"

"What do you mean 'what the hell'? I was just saving your life!" He exclaimed.

"By kissing me?" I almost yelled as he sat across the floor from me.

"I read that by holding your breath, you can prevent a panic attack," He explained but I place my head in my hands, "I'm sorry, but that's all I could think of at the moment, unless you wanted me to place my hand over your mouth and suffocate you to bloody death," I then look up at him, watching him mess with his spiky hair, "I didn't want you having another one of your bloody seizures, alright?"

I silently stared at him, before I lowly mumbled, "Thank you, Lex."

He then stopped his movements to look at me, and raised a brow at me, "You're welcome."

I stand up and dust my skirt of before walking up to him and pulling out my knife to hold against his throat, "If you tell anyone-"

"Wouldn't dream of it, sweetheart," He assured me, not blinking an eye by my threat before I put my blade away, "But maybe we should try that again sometime, say maybe after school-"

"Shut up, Lex." I huffed, walking out of the bathroom and down the hallway, back to Lin's class. However, while walking there, I couldn't help but raise a finger to my lips and furrow my brows a bit.

I've never been kissed before.
