Namjoon makes his way to the campus, like any other day. even though he may not have class, he still went and usually hung out in the library to study until jin got out.

it was currently a Thursday, four days since he last talked to any of his friends. they all knew he was there, every time he would see them in the hallways, they'd always head into the opposite hallway.

He always thought they'd always be there for each other, he'd never thought anyone would separate them.

they met in high school, him and yoongi. they met underground, more specifically a rundown subway entrance, both of them rapping, both of them wanting a partner to dominate the game. in which they did until they decided they had to be something more. they both applied for the same college, and with God on their side, they both got accepted.

there they found the rest, jimin at a party, hoseok at a take-out restaurant, taehyung at an unfortunate bust they don't speak about, and jungkook as the freshman who could out drink anyone he challenged (though yoongi was a tricky one).

they spent days along the beach pushing each other in the waves, and nights wondering the streets looking for fun. they brought out the wild side of namjoon, and only they could.

namjoon may say it might not hurt him, but how could it not. they're the only ones who know him.

He just sighs while walking through the empty halls to the library, memories never are forgotten.

he lifts his head at the sound of shuffling feet and a book dropping, he looks up to see taehyung at the other end silently cursing to himself. as he picks up the book he looks up and locks eyes with the older, his eyes widen a bit before he tries to calmly fast walk away, but in the opposite directions, he was headed. looks like he'll be missing that class today.

but namjoon was fed up with the silence and unanswered calls. he tightly clutches his backpack that slung over his right shoulder as he runs down the hall after the boy, taehyung speeds up to.

sooner or later he's met with an empty hall, breathing heavily, he never knew tae could run that fast.

the sound of a creaking door rang through the hallways, namjoon turned to a janitors closet.

"come on" he can hear a low whisper.

namjoon silently walks in to be met with a tired taehyung.

"look I know you want to hear something, but not here, he'll know. I'll call you later. I have to go. bye hyung"

and like that tae was gone again.

no answers.

namjoon just sits on an empty box, sighing as he lays his head back on the shelf behind him closing his eyes. he just wants to read, invest himself in a different world than his own.

he stayed like that for quite a while, an hour maybe, not really motivated to move.

he looked down at his phone, 11:23 pm.

jin was probably waiting for him, or maybe he already left, the boy is more cold-hearted then expected.

he stands up, then makes his way to the crowded hallway, many eyes turning to his direction but he continues his way to the library.

when he walks through the glass doors, he spots jin sitting at an empty table surrounded by various sheets of music, when he looks up, namjoon unconditionally smiles.

did namjoon like the older boy?

maybe.

did the older boy smile back?

yes.
