I knocked on the door off the room where Jamie was in.
'Come in," I heared and I walked in but froze when I saw him. He stood with his back towards his door and all I could see was his scars scatterd across his muscled. back.
"Jezus Christus," I let out and he turned around and I was immediately taken back by his six pack, correction eight pack.
"Oi Sassenach," he said and I looked up. "Whit urr ye daein' 'ere,"
"What?" I asked and holded my head to the side.
"What are ye doing here?" he asked again.
"I came to say thank you for saving me," I said while he took on his Shirt.
"No need to thank me, I did what I had to do," he smiled and sat down by the fire.
"But why are you so nice to me, for all you know I'm working with the British or be a escaped prisoner or a murderress or a witch?" I asked and he started to laugh.
"Are ye?" he asked and I shook my head. "Why would I question that. Dougal may do that but I don't."
"Why?" I asked carefully and walked down.
"First of all sit down Lass," he padded on the stool next to him and I sat down. "And second of all tell me more about yerself."
"What do you want to know?" I asked not very fond of the idea to tell a part of my true story and lie to him since he seems to trust me.
"Whit ever ye want me to ken about ye," he smiled.
"Ehm well, I was born in The Netherlands, In Scheveningen," I hesitated and then continued. " My father was the Secretary of the Minister of Finance and My mother was a ehm seamstress," In fact my mother worked in a clothing store but hey that was close to what a seamstress did.
"Was?" Jamie looked at me. "There not alive anymore?"
I realised I spoke in past sentences like they where death, but they weren't, they weren't born just yet. "You could say that," my voice sounded soft and I fought back the tears that formed in my eyes again. But I was not able to hold them back this time.
One escaped and felt past my chin down at my right hand which Jamie grabbed. "I'm so sorry lass, yer already been through so much, I shouldn't asked about it." he said. "Come here," he pulled me near him and laid his arms around me, with my head on his shoulder I finally let the tears stream free that I was holding back.
'Sshh," he said soothing and soft in my ear while he carefully placed one hand on my hair. "Dinna weep Lass," I set myself lose of his grip and whipped with my sleeve across my face.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't meant to cry, but the tough about my parents.. it's just so..' He cut me off.
'Dinna be troubled," he waved it off. "Again I shouldn't asked about it."
"But it's your right to ask me," I hesitated.
"The scars?" he asked with a small smile and I nodded biting my own lip. "Flogging. twice"
I gasped, I knew that they did that in this time era but the scars on his back was not something that was normal even in this time.
"Why in godsname that many times?" I asked shifting closer and with out asking lifting up his Shirt to look at his back. I couldn't help but let my hand touching the scars.
he shivered visably so I quickly pulled my hand back.
"First one was for obstruction, what the hell even that was, second for stealing, Atleast they said that," Jamie looked over his shoulder and smiled at me.
"Where was this?" I asked curiously.
"Fort William, after the second flogging my friends helped me escape and took me to France to recover there from the fever and wounds I had," he told me. "I came back when I was recovered two years later and traveled with some men until I was hit on the head and send back to France again, to recover in an Abbey this time where my uncle is Abbot." I hanged on his lips when he quickly spilled it out. "I was just back when I ran into ye Lass."
"Jezus, Why does this all happend to you?" It slipped past mine lips without notiching it.
"Some have bad luck, I'm one of those persons." he simply laughed it away. "There is also a price of 10 pounds Sterling on my head for a murder I never committed."
"Some bad luck," I laughed bitterly.
"Dinna care about me lass, I can take care of myself." He stood up and held his hands towards me.
"I don't doubt that." I took his hand and stood up.
His hand was superisingly warm, his touch send shivers down my spine and let something warm grown in mine abdomen which I immediately know what that was.
"Ehh thank you for telling me," I quickly let go of his hand. "I go back to my chambers, Atleast if I know where they are."
He laughed out loud. "Well Lass, I show ye then. But if ye don't mind it, let's have dinner first. aye?"
"I rather go to bed, I'm really tired." I lied, I was not ready to face the other people in this castle not when I had a full story to tell.
"Well then, I take you to yer chambers then," he offered his arm which I declined and we walked down the hallway towards my chambers.
