I woke up when Dougal gave me a push and then I saw we where standing next to a small creek.
I descended his horse and saw him fill two flasks with water of it.
"Thank you for saving me back there," I said polite as I took the flask and took a long sip out of it
"Well lass yer not save yet," Dougal said. "They are expacting ye back in Fort William tomorrow morning,"
"Why?" I asked confused. "What is the use for them to have me there?"
"Ony foreigner, is considered a guest o' th' sassenach crown, keeping ye awa' fae thaim is making ye a fugitive," he answered leaving me more confused.
"Fugitive? Like a common thief or murderer?" I asked again. "If they wouldn't have found me that wouldn't even know I was here.'
"Weel thay think noo yer a spy fur us or th' dutch," I looked towards him and saw he was holding his dagger. "Leaving me also tae ask, urr ye one, bit nae fur us bit fur th' sassenach and/or th' Dutch,"
"Dougal I answered that already a Thousand times," I rolled my eyes.
"Ah will promise, this is th' lest time ah wull ever ask ye," He said and I stood up.
"Well this is the last time I answer it then," I stuck mine chin out and looked him right in his eyes. "I'm not a spy for the Dutch or the English," I said and he looked closely at me. "I'm plain Greer von Holland and nothing more."
He kept looking at me and then stuck his dagger back. "Aye doon it is," He walked past me and I took his arm.
"Did you plan, using your dagger on me?" I asked and he shrugged his shoulders.
"Ah wouldn't hae liked it, ye'r a braw wifie," He stated. "Bit if ye proved false, ah wouldn't hae na choice," He started at me as I started back, nothing in my mind could form a proper sentence to say back. "Bit ah ken noo, ye'r telling th' truth,"
"What convinced you?" I asked supisious.
"St. Ninians Spring," He pointed to the small creek. "Some folk calls it: th' liars spring."Smells likes th' fumes o' hell itselfs, if ye dram fae that 'n' ye prove untrue, it'll burn yer gizzard oot."
The Scots with their believes. I tought. But this times their believes saved mine life, even tho I lied about my name but that was a small side note.
"A magic spring?" I asked mocking.
"Dinnae ye hae that in Holland. Some magic?" He fired back.
"Well, I doubt Captain Randall is that easy to convince," I said. "He would throw me in prison for witch craft."
"Aye.' Dougal agreed. "Weel, ye dinnae need tae see him again," I looked at Dougal with raised eyebrows. "Nae if ye dae whit ah tell ye,"
"Don't you have to bring me to Fort William," I asked while I looked angry at him, not planning to be murderd by the hands of the red coats because I ran away from them.
"An sassenach officer canoot compel a scots body," Dougal explained.
"Good thing I'm Dutch then?" I copied Dougal's attitude, arms crossed.
"Did ye juist miss mah explanation o' howfur yer treated as an sassenach guest?" I shook my head. "Guid, as ah tellt ye, th' sassenach cuid nae compel a scots subject, unless thare is prove thare is a crime commited 'n' even sae, cannae force that subject fae clan lands, wi'oot premission o' th' laird concerned,"
It took me a while to progress and then it hit me. "You can only legally hand me back to Randall if you change me from foreigner woman to a Scot," I said in a little panicked voice as I saw him nod because I know what he was going to say.
"Th' ainlie wey tae that, is tae marry ye tae one," Dougal said.
"I cannot do that!" I proclaimed and I walked back from him. "I'm not marrying you."
"Well I cannae deny that I want to grind yer corn," Dougal walked over to me. "Bit tis nae masell, a'd be nominating fur th' position."
"Who is it than?" The idea of marrying Rupert or Angus was also not appealing.
"Young Jamie," Dougal said and that was the end of our talk.

I sat back a few meters from the men reading the wedding contract. In the back of my mind I tought about mine fiance back in mine own time. I had ran away from him because I didn't want to marry him and now I was here in this time forced to marry another man who I just met a few months ago
The panic and disbelieve hit me, the panic for the unknow and the disbelieve because I seemed to be okay with it. I was so caught up that I didn't know that Jamie walked up to me and sat down. I only noticed him when he handed me the flask with Whisky which I eagerly took.
"Dougal wants us to be married.' I said as I took a huge sip.
"I ken," he said and I looked to him.
"And you're willing?" I asked suprised. "Even when you know I was engaged to another man."
"We'll. Whit kind o' mukker wid ah be tae lea ye in th' hands o' that mad bastard Randall?" Jamie asked as he took away the flask.
"But surely a young man like yourself," I looked at him. "Is there nobody else you wanted to marry?"
"Am ah promised?" Jamie laughed. "No, Ah not much o' a prospect fur a guidwife, a'm still a man wi' a cost oan his heid, Ah kin be liftit 'n' hanged at anytime, did ye nae think o' that?"
Ofcourse I had thought of that, but then again, I was planning to leave to mine own time pretty soon so it didn't bother me.
"So that's it than." I gave in. "If it depends on you we start our honeymoon tomorrow."
"Aye," Jamie nodded and looked also nervous like I was. "Whatever suits ye." He stood up.
"Jamie!" I said and he turned to look at me. "Does it going to bother you that I'm not a virgin anymore." I said to honest. I he was going to figure it tomorrow he better know it now.
"Well no." He answered and suddenly looked nervous. "As lang as it doesn't fash that a'm aye a virgin? atleast some o' us kens whit tae dae." he said and then quickly walked back to the men, leaving me in even more disbelieve.
