As I listen how the Duke complain about Scotland and than said something in a sharp tone to a boy who was writing I felt uncomfortable in his presence.
"Sorry madam, you where saying?" The duke asked.
"Captain Jonathan Randall," I repeated patiently trying not to strangle him for no reason.
"Ah yes, the petition of complaint," he said not impressed as he  took sip out of his glass and I tried now the hardest to not strangle him. "By Christ. A petition of complaint against Captain Randall? Poppycock!" He said harsly but I wasn't impressed and simply shrugged mine shoulders. "I'm told that said Captain, is one of the finest officers in the regiment,"
Yeah if you didn't count the innocent beatings, threatenings, sexual assaults. I was almost sure he was a fine officer.
"Come... let me see this abominable document," he holded out his hand.
"My husband is giving you the document this midday," I said so nicely as possible.
"Ahh," he said. "So Lord Broch Tuarach had sent you in front of him to soften me. To play on my well-know sympaties of the weaker sex?" He asked and all I could think was: "not only for the weaker sex also for the same one,"
"Jamie has nothing to do with it, I can assure you that," I smiled. "Your grace," I added quickly. "He wouldn't like it if he knew I was here."
"By mine word," he walked towards his couch. "He picked up a feisty wife, not that I wouldn't expect that from the lad. I'm very fond of Jamie, not mistake that. But I must refuse this outrageous proposal,"
I was already afraid of that and I hoped I could bargain a bit with the Duke who I didn't trust for a penny's worth.
"To turn against one's friend is hard," I told him. "So I understand your reluctance."
"I hardly know that men, I can't call him a friend," the duke suprisingly stood up very quickly. "And if it was so? An English nobleman befriend one of the King's finest officers, that is a shame for our reputations,"
Well so where the rumours about both of them but I bit on mine tongue to keep that in as he turned around.
"You're the most alluring woman I have ever met and I'm sure you give Jamie the most beautiful childeren," he said. "But mine time is not my own these days, so many goings-on, I have no time to read those falsities."
I stood up and he looked shooked. "Well  then I did why I came," I smiled sinister. "But I have one question."
"Ask it, I can't refuse a question from such a beautiful woman," he tried to flatter me.
"How much gold of the Jacobites did Dougal Mackenzie gave you?" I asked as I crossed mine arms and his face turned paler than the whites sheets.
He than turned slowly red. "Madam, it's a dangerous thing  to hurl slanderous charges with such reckless abandon,"
"It's only that, if it is untrue." I fired back and he turned even more redder.
"Are you trying to make me your enemy?" He asked and I walked towards him.
"I need you as a friend, how hard that is even going to be. It's preferable to a date with the gallows of a traitor of your King," he stared at me.
"Did someone told you, that you have a beautiful neck?" he asked and I swallowed a bit. "I hate to see your pretty face parted of it," he then smiled and offered me a glass.
"I have to go," I refused it and turned around.
"Mrs Fraser," he called after me and I turned around again. "I don't want to over hast it with Jamie, but I'm looking forward to help your husband to restore his good name."
I smiled and than turned around to get out of this god forsaken house with his even more forsaken guest.

As I walked into the hall in Leoch, I noticed there was something wrong. Dougal was in a raggin madness as he fought every clan member who tried to stop him.
"What is going on?" I asked worried to Colum who stood with a disapproving look on his face.
"His guidwife suddenly died," he answered back.
Dougal rambled about their wedding day and about her. I never saw him that upset and I really felt pity for him as he mourned over his wife. But he was drunk and he letted out his grief on the other men.
"Greer, lass go to yer room, It's unsafe here," Ned whispered in mine ear and I nodded to the old man.
Slipping away from the mess in the hall before I get hurt as well.

That night even tho what happend this midday. Colum hosted a dinner for the duke of Sandringham.
I just stood admiring myself in the mirror as Jamie walked in.

"Christ Mó Ghràdh," he walked behind me and pressed a kiss on the small naked piece of skin between mine neck and shoulder

"Christ Mó Ghràdh," he walked behind me and pressed a kiss on the small naked piece of skin between mine neck and shoulder. "Howfur kin ah keep mines hands o' ye tonight whin yer keekin lik' this?" He asked and I saw him, in the mirror, looking longingly at the bed behind us and I smiled.
"Not, that is the art," I stood up mine tippy toes and pressed mine mouth against his right ear. "Je suis prest," I repeated his clanmotto. 'I'm ready,' and with that I didn't mean I was ready to go to the party.
Jamie groaned and reacted by pressing me closer to his chest, feeling his hardness through our clothing.
"Dinnae tempt me, mo ghràdh, or we baith shaw up late at th' dinner th' nicht." He threatend and I laughed.
"Well I don't complain," I pressed a kiss on his lips and letted him go. "But if we do that, the duke will surely be disappointed," I gave him a wink and fixed the small amount of Make-up that I was wearing.
He hadn't said a thing about his meeting with Sandringham but I knew that soon enough I would hear about it.
