June 24th

"Are you almost ready, Destiny? Your aunt & Sparkle are on their way." My mom asked.

"Yes, just about" I shouted finishing my hair.

It is now the end of June & Summer not too long ago started. I have 1 more week left until the baby gets here & each day it gets closer, the more excited I get.

I walked out of the bathroom & put on my shoes & grabbed my purse. I walked downstairs & found my mom in the kitchen making her a cup of coffee.

"Can I have some?" I asked. I've been so sleepy lately. Coffee might be just what I needed to wake me up right now.

"No you cannot. There's still breakfast leftover if you're hungry." She stirred her coffee, then took a sip.

"I'm ok." I sat in a chair at the kitchen table, but before I got comfortable the doorbell rang, so I stood up.

"Sit back down, I got it." My mom said, sitting her cup on the counter.

"I got it. I'm already up anyways." I didn't give her a chance to say anything. I just walked out of the kitchen & answered the door. "Hey Spark." I smiled.

"Hey! I missed you." Sparkle said smiling back. She walked in & gave me a long gentle hug.

I haven't saw Sparkle in a whole month. After school ended, she went to New York to visit her dad & she just got back last night. I'm surprised she wanted to see me instead of sleeping all day.

"I missed you too. Is your mom coming in?" I asked.

"Yeah. She's on the phone. Where's my tete? I miss her?"

"In the kitchen." I left the door open & walked in the kitchen following behind Sparkle.

I looked for my phone while she hugged & talked to my mom. I didn't see it anywhere down here then I remembered I left it upstairs to charge. I left my mom & Sparkle in the kitchen to finish talking, & smiled when I saw my aunt heading this way.

"Hey auntie." I spoke giving her a hug.

After we said our hi's, I went upstairs to my room, grabbed my phone, & open my text. I opened the text from Miguel first, then Marshun, then Dixon. Those 3 made it their daily duty to check on me everyday.

I never learned to get along with Dixon. He's really a nice guy, but he still annoys me, just not as much. And Marshun is the coolest person ever. I never thought he'll be half the person he 's been these past few months. And Miguel has never changed. He's still as great as he's always been.

After I replied to those 3, plus my 2 best friends, I walked downstairs where I found a ready aunt & cousin waiting on the sofa.

"Sorry, I had to grab my phone. Are you guys ready?" I asked.

"Been, slow poke." Sparkle teased getting up.

"Shush." I smiled. "Bye mommy. I'll see you later. Get some rest & go have a little fun." I gave my mom a hug. She sighed.

"I wish." She said hugging me back.

"At least try." I looked at her. She gave me a small smile then kissed my forehead.

After we were all in the car & buckled up we left. We were going to Baby's R Us so that I can pick out some things for the baby room. I wasn't allowed to tell them what I was having yet, so I didn't know what I could get without giving it away.

During the drive, I text while they talked about Sparkle's visit to New York. Before we made it to our destination, they started asking me questions.
