...

After years of moving and transferring schools and moving again, Jungkook is fed up. Having to start all over again with friends, courses, teachers, coaches, and status has Jungkook worn out. He doesn't care anymore about what is good and expected of him. He slowly rebels against his nomadic parents. Ripped jeans instead of trousers, ear and nose piercings instead of button ups and ties. Their tipping point is the tattoos. Right after they moved to another new city, Jungkook came home one night with tattoos creeping over his once perfectly pale forearms. Jungkook wanted to ruin that perfect image of a perfect family. Because nobody is fucking perfect.

At least that is what Jungkook believes up until he storms into his new home room, and his eyes fall upon an angel. Not an actual angel, but the shaggy blond-haired boy sitting in the corner by the window does rank high up there. His tan skin glows in the sunlight, contrasting with his white t-shirt and the bright red flannel he wears over it. His perfectly long fingers are folded together on his empty desk; he sits stoically still as Jungkook's gaze quickly crawls over his thin frame, feminine waist, and long, lanky, jean-clad legs folded beneath the chair.

Jungkook's eyes break away as he approaches the teacher, going through the same new student spiel he gives every time he moves. His teacher is kind, her gentle smile comforting even though Jungkook can tell he makes her nervous. Tattoos and piercings in high school usually mean trouble. She gestures for him to take a seat, and he finds his feet wandering straight for the empty desk beside the angel in the corner. The chair creaks when Jungkook sits, far too many years wearing on the cheap plastic beneath him. The angel tenses upon hearing the chair, yet he doesn't look at Jungkook.

"Who are you?" he asks, his eyes on the empty desk in front of him. His deep voice sounds tired and hesitant; as if he's afraid Jungkook might beat him up or torture him or something.

"Jeon Jungkook,"

"Okay...and why did you sit by me?"

"I was told to sit,"

"By me?"

"What's your name?" Jungkook's blurted question stops the boy's onslaught of questions that don't really make sense. Why shouldn't he sit by him? Is Jungkook that intimidating?

"Taehyung...my name is Taehyung..." the boy quietly says. Jungkook is about to ask another question, about to demand that the boy looks at him, but the teacher starts her lecture and shuts him up. Jungkook takes notes out of sheer boredom, yet the boy next to him does not. He doesn't move, doesn't write, doesn't even breath it looks like. He just sits there, and the teacher does nothing.

The bell rings, signaling the end of the grueling lecture, yet Taehyung still doesn't move. Students filter out of the class with glee, loud shouts and jests filling the school building.

"You're still here..." Taehyung murmurs, his soft words causing Jungkook to smile.

"So are you," he cheekily retorts.

"I—"

"Taehyung, dear, here is the recording of today's lecture. And I was just informed that your usual guide isn't attending our school anymore..." the teacher sets a small recorder on the desk and Taehyung pockets it with a sigh.

"Guide?" Jungkook interjects before Taehyung finally turns to face him. Jungkook is struck by two hard facts: one, Taehyung is fucking gorgeous—even more so when he looks at Jungkook face on—and two, the boy is blind.
