*door opening noise*

I felt a hot breeze swoop by. The streets were very crowded and busy.

So this is what rush hour looks like here huh.

I really shouldn't show my UI in front of people, but... fuck it, whatever happens, it happens.

I checked the route to the Guild Hall on the map.

"Follow me," I tugged on Eri.

"Oh, ok."

She seemed to be staring at something, but I didn't really pay much attention.

"You know where we're going right?"

"Guildhall, right? Why?"

"Yeah... Sorry, you just look a bit out of place."

"Oh, don't worry about it. I'm just having my growth fatigue."

"and what's that?"

"Mana Growth Fatigue, it's common through kids around my age. My body is trying to adapt to the rapid mana growth."

"It's something like puberty."

"Do humans get that too?"

"I don't know. But usually it's a lot more severe than this, I just get weak reactions, but like this. it only makes you go blank out for a bit."

She made a gesture suggesting she's fine.

"See?"

"Glad you're ok."

We kept on walking until we found what seemed like a Guildhall. I confirmed it on the map.

I stepped inside the building. The Guildhall was filled with adventurers looking for jobs. Some of them looked menacing to a point I averted my eyes.

Wow. Scaaawy.

"Oh wait, don't I need money to get the handbook issued?"

"I got you covered, don't worry."

"Hehehe, sorry."

We walked up to the front desk and was greeted by the desk lady.

"How can I help you?"

"I want to become an adventurer."

"There's a registration fee of 50 silver."

Holy SHIT, that's fives nights in the inn.

"E...Eri?"

She already pulled out 50 silver.

Shit, that's fast.

"Is... isn't 50 silver a lot?"

"Oh, it's nothing."

"Ooo...k."

I received 5 big silver coins from Eri and handed it over to the desk lady.

"Ok, please fill out the application form, pens are there over to your right."

She handed over an application sheet. I went to the seats with utensils and froze on the spot.

"Eri?" I pointed at the paper.

"What?"

"I can't read *:P*"

"Oh..."

She reached out her hand and sighed.

"Give it to me,"

I gave her the paper and pen.
