Chapter 22 - Ashley

On the way, I assured him his safety and I won't turn him in or harm him.

We got there very fast and stopped at the gate. I told the guy to make sure the boss didn't escape or Eri would have his life. The guards were somehow the same guys I met when I passed with Deric. I sprinted to the Guildhall and knocked on the door after passing the guards.

"DERIC! DERIC!!!!!!"

The door opened after a bit of wait.

"Sorry, but master White is sleeping right now, please come back in the morning?"

"This is an urgent matter, I need to talk to him now."

"Understood."

She let me in and sat me at his office. Deric came in soon after.

"What's up at this hour?"

"Urgent, I found where an organization rapes and sells women. A lot happened, but I need your help getting them out of there. I already captured the boss and cleared out the dungeon. There are about 40 to 50 women, including kids."

"Where's the location."

I opened my map and showed him the location and how to get there. Deric pushed some kind of bell and all the guards gathered up in the front. 

"Gather as much carriage as possible, this is not a drill. We're heading towards the eastern mountain!"

They uniformly and quickly got everything prepared. Deric explained everything to the captain and they got on their way. About half of them left while rest remained.

"Deric, the carriage that's carrying the captured boss is outside."

"Ok, I'll get it taken care of."

"No just give me a note or something,"

He quickly made a note and signed it, I ran to the carriage and brought it to the front of the guild.

I unloaded the boss while Eri and Ashley got off.

"This is the man and I've messed him up a little. I'm pretty sure you can tell, but he can use magic."

"Understood, leave him to us."

I went to the driver.

"You did well. Now go."

He left without saying a word. I came back to Deric dismissing the rest of the guys.

"How should I explain what happened?"

"Let's first go inside."

All of us went inside and sat down in his office. He offered some covers for the girls and I explained to him what happened in detail. From how I met Ashley to what went down today. 

Deric told us to rest for the day and he'll be taking care of everything from there.

"I'll talk to you more about it tomorrow, take some rest for now."

"Alright, thanks for everything Deric."

"Any time."

We left and went to the inn. The place was almost back to its original look but was still a little bit messy. I dumped the torch and changed to candles. 

"*sigh* Serah, was everything fine here?"

I heard her faintly in the distance.

"What!?"

She came to the main area. I had the two girls go ahead and rest.

"Sleep in my room if that makes you feel any safer."
