"Shouldn't you get some weapon before doing the quest?"
"It would be nice to have a sword, but I can fight without weapons."
"No, you're getting a weapon."
"You know I don't have any money and I don't want you buying me any more stuff."
"It's fine. I'm getting you a weapon."
Seeing how she was not going to back down, I gave in to her words.
"Alright, then I'll take that offer."
I regretted not taking weapons from the dudes who attacked me. Eri brought me to a weapon shop right next to the Guildhall. There were stores lined up next to each other. They were all stores with an open front.
"Welcome! Please take a look!"
A lady greeted me with a smile.
I thought a big muscular dude was gonna be running the shop.
I looked around to see if there was a katana. Many fancy looking weapons were decorating the store, but I wasn't able to find a katana anywhere.
"Is there a sword called katana in the store?"
"Uh, I've heard of it before... but I don't know if we have one."
"Katana, single-edged blade, about 60 centimeters long with some curve."
"I don't know, there's a lot of swords with that matching description."
"Nevermind, forget it. Do you have anything similar to that?"
"Let me go check."
She brought a couple of them and laid them out on the table.
"What about these?"
There were many types of swords with similar lengths.
"Can I try holding them?"
"Sure."
I first picked up a Sabre. It looked most similar to a katana but the handle was too small and I didn't like it. I tried a European long sword next. It had long enough handle for me to comfortably use, and I liked it.
"I'll take this."
I place the sword on the desk.
"Try the other ones too, you might like them better."
"I think this is for me."
"Alright. This one is..."
She took a close look at the sword.
"Two gold coins."
I grabbed Eri's attention.
"You picked?"
"Yeah, Imma get a long sword. The storekeeper said it was two gold."
I didn't want to know how much money it was worth, so I didn't ask. She handed me two gold coins out of her wallet. I returned to the front desk and handed over the money. She put the two gold inside of a pouch.
"With that, She's all yours!"
She handed me the sword with a sheath.
"Alright! Thank you, have a good day!"
"Come back again!"
We left the store. Eri handed me a leather pouch.
"Here, you're going to need this too."
"Oh, thank you."
Damn, where and how did she buy it so quickly?
I quickly looked around and found an equipment store right next to the weapon shop.
