it's wednesday afternoon and we got winter break today. it has been the worst 5 days of my life. i've never felt more lonely and guilty. but i decided that i want to try and contact taehyung. he's my best friend and deserves to know about my sexuality and i'm going to tell him it in person, not over phone.
'he will support me, right?'
i take a deep breath as i take my totally destroyed phone up from my back pocket of my pants. i log into contacts until i reach his name. i hesitate a bit when i press on call, and it starts calling. it takes him 2 painful buzzes to answer and i put it on speaker.
taehyung: "jungkook?"
jungkook: "h-hi, taehyung."
taehyung: "what is it?"
jungkook: "can we talk? like in person."
'what if he says no?'
taehyung: "i thought you didn't want to talk with me." he coldly says making me gulp hard.
jungkook: "i was just in a really bad mood... i'm sorry, but i can explain everything if we can talk."
there's a long pause before he speaks again.
taehyung: "okay, fine." he sighs.
jungkook: "thank you. c-can i come over?" i hold my breath as i close my eyes tight.
'please, please.'
taehyung: "yeah, just come."
jungkook: "thank you!"
a deep chuckle escapes his mouth and it's like a heavy burden lifts itself from my chest.
taehyung: "bye." he lastly says before he hangs up and i storm out into our kitchen. and guess who's making dinner? my mom.
jungkook: "i know you and dad, kinda like, grounded me but, please, let me go to taehyungs place." i fold my hands in front of her.
jungkook: "i-it's really important!"
mom: "i guess that's okay, but be home before 9 pm this time!" she says looking at me.
i don't hesitate to nod.
