"So where am I headed?" I asked as I turned the car on and pulled out of the parking lot.

"Umm its 11021 Forest lane. I'm still not completely sure where that is if I'm being honest." She said as she laughed a little bit at herself.

"Haha it's okay I know where that is. Its actually a couple streets over from Will's house." I said

As I drove over there I couldn't help but think about what Molly had said and about what Eli had told me. And all of this information had been shared in the span of three hours. I thought about all this as I drove. I could feel my grip tightening a bit because of what Molly had said. I didn't like her. I didn't like girls. I loved Will. Or at least I wanted to.

"What're you thinking so hard about?" Eli asked in an all too cute way.

"Just something Molly said earlier." I didn't hesitate in the slightest when I said it. This girl was just magnetic. It's like all the words I thought or wanted to say just flew out of my mouth towards her. I felt like everything I've ever wanted to say but didn't would come out right now and I would just tell her all my secrets.

"What'd she say?" she asked. I was about to tell her but I stopped myself.

"It was nothing. I'm just fixating I guess." As I said it I realized how weird I was being. I had just met this girl and I was already acting like a total weirdo.

"I'm sorry I'm being weird." I said as I slowed down at red light. I turned to look at her. Her eyes looked even more green now.

"It's cool. I thought it was because I told you I like girls." She said as she ran a hand through her hair. She had taken it out of the pony tail earlier.

"No not at all trust me. I think you're great. I mean hey, if you can take Lila's spot in our relay you could date the whole cheerleading squad for all I care." After I said it I realized it might have come out a bit rude but when I looked at Eli she was laughing her ass off. She had a cute laugh, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Lila doesn't seem all that bad." Eli said after she was done laughing.

"No Lila is the worst. I hate to talk shit I do, but she is so fake and just flat out mean sometimes." I said with all these hand gestures.

"Okay so stay away from her." Eli said as she gave me a little salute. I just laughed as I pulled into the house that had the right numbers on it. The house was huge. It was a two-story house with a BMW in the front as well as a black four door Jeep Wrangler. I just looked at Eli.

"Damn. Nice Jeep." I said still in awe.

"Thanks its mine." She said with a small smile.

"Why didn't you drive it to school?" I asked.

"Because I didn't have my parking sticker first and my parents are sort of cheesy. They like to drop me off on my first and last day of school. Today's not the first day of school but it was my first day ya know." I just sort of laughed and nodded.

Eli looked down at her feet for a second before realizing she had thrown her track bag in my back seat. When she realized that it was in the back she leaned over the center console to grab it. At first, I didn't know what she was doing. I just sat there completely still. She grabbed the bag and sat back in her seat. Then she looked at me and smiled.

"Well thanks for the ride. If you ever wanna drive around in my Jeep let me know." She said laughing. I was still in shock.

"Uh yeah for sure." She was already about to close the door when I said

"Hey do you wanna be my partner?" I asked stupidly.

"Your what?" she asked confused.

"Ha sorry, on Tuesday we do this thing called two for Tuesday in track. Coach makes us pair up and do different workouts. Do you wanna be my partner for that?" I asked

"Yeah for sure." With that she closed the door and walked in. She was still in her spandex and her tank top.

                                                --------------------------------------

"Babe how did you forget your baseball cleats?" I asked Will through the phone. It is 6 in the morning on Tuesday and he called me asking me to go to his house and take him his cleats. I mean of course I'm going to do it but its 6 in the damn morning.

"I don't know I thought I'd left them in mu truck but I think I left them in my other bag. Can you please bring them babe?" I could hear him freaking out over the phone.

"Yes, I'll be there in like 10 minutes." I said. Will's mom was an RN so she worked all kinds of crazy hours. I got out of bed, put on some jeans a t-shirt and my converse, snuck past my parents' room and out the front door. I drove the two-minute drive to Will's and parked. His front door didn't use a key it had a code that you punch in and the door opens. I punched in the code and nearly tripped over the step into his house because I was still half asleep. His mom's car wasn't in the driveway so I knew she wasn't home. Plus, if she was he would have just called her to take him the shoes. I walked past the pictures and up the stairs into his room. It was still sort of dark outside and the sun was barely coming up. I grabbed the cleats out of his bag and went back down the stairs and to my car. It only took me another 5 minutes to drive to the school. We lived super close to the school, but Will hated being late to anything. He would rather play in his tennis shoes than go back get his cleats and be late. I parked in front of the baseball fields and text him I was here. He ran out in less than a minute and ran to my window. I rolled the window down and handed him his cleats.

"Thanks so much babe." He said as he kissed me on the lips. No one was around and it wasn't a long kiss so I didn't say anything. He just smiled and ran back to the fields. Great. Its 6:15 and I'm already at school. I decided to just go get breakfast and wait for school to start.

Four periods into school and I've fallen asleep in every class. I'm going to absolutely die in track.
