Can't Run From You

Chapter 17

Eli's POV

She said yes. She fucking said yes. I felt like all the cells in my body were being charged with electricity. She said yes. I waited until the next class to text back "Okay. Pick you up at 6 ;)" I knew it would freak her out make her wait. I could already see her getting all jittery. She fucking said yes. I looked over at Lucy who was sitting next to me. She gave me a confused look so I showed her my phone. I started to smile.

"She fucking said yes." I said. Lucy just laughed.

Thea's POV

Practice was torture. Clark was in a pissy ass mood and had us running the long-distance workout. We had to run two 600's two 500's two 400's and all the way down to two 100's. It didn't help that they were timed too. A couple of the freshman actually got sick, and some others were just bitching the whole time. Eli and I hadn't talked all practice. Mostly because we were dying, but also because of the fact that we were supposed to go on a date tonight. An actual date. Every time I looked at her I felt electricity run through my veins. When I finished my last 100 my ass was cramping so bad that I just decided to lay on the track. I could feel some girls walking past me but I didn't give a shit. My ass hurt. I had my arm over my eyes to block the sun, but a little while later I felt a shadow come over me. I moved my arm to see Eli standing over me.

"Hey." I mumbled through staggered breaths.

"You cramping?"

"Yeah." I put my hand back over my eyes. I felt Eli grab my ankle and start stretching me out. She did my left leg then my right. When she finished my cramp finally went away and I felt like I could stand again. When I got up I just said

"Thanks." Eli just looked at me and smiled

"Can't have you bailing on our date tonight." I felt my ears start to burn. Eli just gave me a little grin. With that she walked off. I watched her ass move as she walked away. The sun was bouncing off her skin making her look like she was glowing.

"If you keep staring people are going to know you like her." I heard behind me, it startled me so much that I jumped back about 5 feet. When I turned around I saw Molly standing behind me.

"Keep it down would you. I don't think the guys on the other side of the field heard you."

"They're fine. Anyways what was that smile about." She asked. I still hadn't told her about the fact that me and Eli had technically slept together.

"We're going to a movie tonight." My ears were burning even more now.

"Ooh. Gonna get laid tonight?" she said cocking her eyebrow. I looked down at my spikes and fiddled with my red bracelet.

"So, we may or may not have already done that." I said not looking at her. At this Molly's eyes got really wide as she put her hands over her face.

"You seriously?" she trailed off. I nodded my head and felt my ears heat up again.

"Well I have to go. I have a movie date thing tonight." I said as I left a confused Molly behind me.

I saw Eli's blacked out Jeep pull up outside of my house right at 6 o'clock. I looked at myself in the mirror one last time before I walked out the door. I had on my skin-tight jeans with a black sort of tank top and my teal green bralette. I had straightened my hair brown hair and put on a little bit of eyeliner. Right as I closed the door to my house I felt my phone start to buzz. I looked up at Eli who was starting to get out of the jeep. I looked at my phone and saw Wills profile picture pop up on my screen. I felt my heart break a little, but I answered the phone anyways.
