Can't Run From You

Chapter 42

As soon as I got to school Monday morning I ran in to find Eli or Molly or Lucy or someone who could get me to them. My parents still hadn't given me my phone back and I honestly don't know if they would ever give it back. I practically ran into the building. I felt frantic, I felt like if I didn't see Eli right now I would die. I was looking around the halls trying to find Eli or Molly or Lucy but I didn't see any of them. As I kept walking I felt someone run into me. I looked down to see Lila standing in front of me.

"Fucking watch where you're going Thea." This was the best I was going to get before 3rdperiod.

"Lila I need your phone." She gave me a confused and irritated look.

"What why?"

"Please I need to call someone."

"Where's your phone?" I wanted to take her phone and run, and I would have if it didn't have a code on it.

"I'm grounded and it's an emergency can I please use your phone." Lila looked at me for a second, I think she could feel my nervous energy, because she relented and opened her phone and gave it to me. I had memorized Eli's number when I used Wills phone to call her last time. I typed it in and listened to it ring. When Eli answered she already knew it was me because she asked

"Where are you?"

"Meet me in the gym."

"Now?" the bell for first period had just rang.

"Yes."

"Okay I'll be there in a minute." I hung up the phone and handed it back to Lila.

"Thank you so much." I said. I ran in the opposite direction leaving a very confused Lila behind me. By the time I got close to the gym the halls were already clearing out. I was walking as fast as I could and using every fiber in my body to stop myself from running. When I got to the gym I looked around for Eli. I didn't see her. I waited a few seconds before I heard something at the other end of the gym. I stared at the corner of the gym where no one ever goes because its where they keep some shooting thing for basketball. A second later I saw Eli's head pop out from the bleachers. I ran to her. In a full-on sprint I ran to her. Even when I got closer to her I didn't stop. I ran into Eli so hard that she almost fell backwards to the ground. How she caught us both I have no idea. She wrapped her arms around me and held me. I was holding onto her for dear life, and she was too. I felt like an eternity had passed since I'd last seen her. Eli held onto until I pulled back. I looked her in the eyes, I know she was hurting because of this too. She would never tell me, but I knew. And I know she blames herself for this. I know she thinks that this is all her fault.

I leaned in and kissed Eli. I felt the little bit of wetness on her lips. I felt the emotions pouring out of Eli. I felt how much she loved me. Her hands were wrapped around me pulling me as close to her as possible. I love her. So much. So fucking much. I felt something wet on my cheek. I opened my eyes and saw one tear running down Eli's face. I pulled back and looked at her.

"This isn't your fault." I said. She just nodded her head.

"Eli look at me." She looked me in the eyes.

"This isn't because of you."

"If it weren't for me you wouldn't be going through this."

"If it weren't for you I would have never known what it feels like to love someone this much." She kissed me again. Soft and full of love. I heard someone walk into the locker room on the other side of the gym.

"Let's get out of here." I told Eli. She gave me a confused look.

"Doesn't the school call your parents when you miss a class?" She wasn't asking for herself, she was asking for me.

"They do, but I worked in the office last year." She gave me a confused look.

"I changed the number from my moms' to mine. So when I miss a class I get the call not her."

"What about track? We have a meet tomorrow."

"We'll come back for track." Eli smiled, picked up our backpacks and led me out the school doors.

Eli and I had piled our stuff in her jeep and gotten the hell out of there. It was only 9 in the morning so we decided to go get breakfast at IHOP. After we ate we went back to Eli's house. Eli asked if I had anywhere that I wanted to go but the truth was I just wanted to be with her. When we got to her house she opened the front door, closed it behind me and pushed me up against the wall. She tasted sweet. Her body was pressing against mine and I couldn't get enough of her. Her mouth was dancing with mine in perfect sync. The clothes between us were annoying. I pulled off her shirt and threw it into the living room. Her black bra was taunting me. She looked at me with her fiery eyes and smiled that devilish grin I love. She slowly and very sexually undid the button on her pants and zipper. She slowly pulled her pants down and threw them to the side. She walked over to me and started to kiss my body. She started at my stomach and kissed down to my jeans. Right at my hips she bit my skin just a little bit, but enough to leave a mark. She undid the button on my jeans and the zipper in the same fashion she had her own. She pulled my jeans off threw them to the same place she'd thrown her own. She started to kiss my body again, leaving wet spots on my torso that sent shivers down my body. When she got to my breasts her kisses were soft and delicate. She bit my skin again, another mark. With her teeth she bit my bra and pulled, telling me to sit up. I did as I was directed and sat up. Eli was on my lap now pressing her lips against mine. She undid my bra and took it off. After she took it off she pulled me closer to her. My boobs were pressing up against her body, my nipples were against her bra. No fair. With her still on my lap I undid her bra and pulled it off. I threw it and pulled her closer to me. After we both came Eli was still pressed against my body, both of us breathing hard. She put my leg back down on the bed and laid me down. She got off of me, grabbed a blanket that was on her bed and pulled it over us. She propped herself on her elbow and just looked at me. She ran her fingers over my neck.

"Sorry." She said. I was confused until I realized I probably had a big mark on it. I got on my elbows and looked at her.

"Its okay." I said as I tucked her hair behind her ear.

"But you're not getting away with it." She cocked her eye brow at me giving me a questioning look. I leaned in and kissed her lips. She just smiled against my lips. I am so helplessly in love with this girl.
