PORTAL TO ANOTHER WORLD (BEFORE THE CORRUPTION)

You were looking through the window as the sun was slowly setting.
This world is so boring... there's just nothing for me to do here... nothing interests me...

You hear a knock on the door which  disturbs you from your thoughts.

???: "what is it?"

Maid: "miss, dinner will be ready soon."

???: "thanks, you can go."

You turn to the window but hear another knock on the door.

???: "do you still need something?"

Maid: "well you see, we're pretty worried about you."

???: "why?"

Maid: "you stay in your room all day, unless the queen needs you, then you come out of your room and go back in after you're done."

???: "why do you care?"

You ask her with a more serious tone.

Maid: "y-you should go outside and make some friends, because as a queen soon to be you will need-"

???: "leave!"

Maid: "b-but-"

???: "do I have to repeat myself!?"

[M/n] (mothers name): "its okay, you can leave, I'll deal with her."

Great, I won't be able to eat alone this time if she is here.

You hear footsteps getting further and further fast.

[M/n]: "my daughter, you really have no mercy."

???: "I really don't care."

[M/n]: "(sigh) And you have no manners either, you really shouldn't talk like that, especially to me."

You don't say anything so you wouldn't make her mad. You lay on the bed and prepare for her long talk.
You hear the door slowly opening and your mother walking in. She comes closer to the bed and sits next to you.

[M/n]: "can you tell me what's going on?"

???: "absolutely nothing, so stop worrying about me."

[M/n]: "I can see that it's not nothing my dear~ tell me..."

A weird grin appeared on your mothers face.

[M/n]: "...did your boyfriend leave you or something?"

???: "what!? No!"

You answer a bit shocked from the weird question.

[M/n]: "with the way you said it, it doesn't sound really convincing."

???: "but it's the truth."

[M/n]: "then what is it?"

???: "everything bores me."

[M/n]: "of course it's boring to stay here all day."

???: "no, after the last time I went outside I didn't feel the same way I did before."

[M/n]: "we could do something fun together if you want~"

???: "no, I can tell that it will be boring too."

You wouldn't understand that the only place I feel alive are in my dreams.

[M/n]: "listen, I really want you to go back to the way you were a few months ago, but I can't help if you won't tell me what's going on."
