The pain had almost brought me to the point of blacking out, maybe it would have been easier on me if it had. It felt as if I'm swimming and trying to put my feet on something solid, but the water is deeper than I thought and there is nothing there.Ambulance lights flickered, like re-sparking candles as the wick comes to its end.
My pale eyes met his ocean ones. "Hang on. You'll be alright," he promised. He kept talking to me until the Amber sky grew pale and the sun slowly disappeared. His attempts to keep me awake were aimless because horrific thoughts continously repeated themselves in my mind until all I saw was complete darkness.
