Meat Grinder

I was sure he knew I lied.

He called me to the fourth floor two days ago, and when I got there, he was not. The door was unlocked, so I was terrified of going in.

He knew.

I've been here over four weeks, and I've never been more terrified. Feeling like he was waiting to kill my friend and my professor was like waiting on a bomb to explode. Only the bomb was attached to me, and he was standing there waiting on it to go off.

I started this.

I couldn't lie and I was so stupid to believe he'd fall for it.

"Angel," the familiar voice rang through the house.

I bowed my head and sighed, knowing what was about to happen.

I would go to his study and sit on the edge of his desk for an hour as he interrogated me. Asking me questions he already knew the answer to.

I felt like it was his psychotic jerk off of the day. Torturing me mentally to the point where I'd wish he'd just tie me up with the Toni and Professor McGuire.

"I'm coming," I called out reluctantly.

He hasn't hurting anyone. I haven't heard a cry or even a whimper from the two. Watching his every mood as he watched mine, paralyzed me from trying to escape and help them as well.

His mind games gave me more fear than when I'd arrived here. I'm sure a month and a half has passed and the majority of this time has consisted of me hiding in my room.

Making my way to his office, I whispered a quiet prayer.

"Fourth floor," Colton said, walking past me.

I turned around, giving him a confused look. "What?"

He turned around, walking backwards as he spoke. "He wants you to meet him upstairs."

I exhaled deeply and bounded up the stairs. Making my way to the fourth floor, I noticed the door was wide open. The white lights blended with the open curtain light of the hallway.

There he was. The undeniably handsome devil. He stood out as he was dressed in all black. His black turtleneck, slacks, and shoes messed him look expensively delicious. That was something I was reluctant on admitting. You could see the money he wore on his wrist called a Rolex. He held a glass of alcohol in his hand, but placed it down when I entered the room.

He grinned as he eyes trailed my body. A quiver of a smirk graced his lips as he spoke. "I see you're wearing the dress I picked out."

There was a silky black dress at the end of the bed. I was certain he wanted me to put it on. The fabric clung to my waist and hips.

I was hesitant to speak. What did he want me to say? Was this another one of his games?

"Oh, Scarlett," Rowan spoke in his hauntingly deep voice. It grasped my attention as my eyes met his. "Do we get what we deserve?"

"What?" I asked as a full smirk found its way to his face.

There was a storm brewing in his eyes. His eyes were sad and lost. I saw how he tried to hide them with sadism. The fact that he could nearly hide it so well frightened me further.

"Choose a tool," he finally spoke after a few seconds of observing me.

My gaze averted to the table in front of me. I didn't notice it when I first entered. I also didn't notice the fact that Professor and Toni were no longer hanging from the ceiling. They were bound to chairs.

"What?" I returned my gaze to him.

"Is that only word you know?" he asked me. I could see the agitation revealing itself.

"N-no," I whispered, looking away. There goes the coward. I allowed her full control of my tired mind and body.

"Choose. A. Tool," he enunciated each word carefully as emotionless as he took a threatening step towards me.

I stepped away from him with each step he stepped towards me. "What if I don't want to?"

I watched as his hand raised in the air and came, full force, across my cheek. I yelped as I fell back against the wall, hitting the floor. My hand met my face as I tried to rub the pain from my cheek. Trying to ignore the echoing from the impact of his hand against my cheek, I focused on controlling my breathing as I tried to speak. "What did I ever do to you?" I screamed as I whipped my neck around to glare at him.

After all the crazy things he's done, the last thing I expected him to do was lay a hand on me.

He stormed towards me and before I knew it, I was against the wall with his strong hand wrapped around my neck. "You lied." His face was furious, but his eyes held hurt. "Are you aware of how much I despise liars?"

I swallowed hard. "Do you know how much I despise murderers?" I asked. I watched as the taken aback look came and went. When he didn't speak, I did.

"Rowan, please be a little more original," I spat.

He sneered as he grabbed my wrist, dragging me to the table with all of the tools.

There were knives, wrenches, screwdrivers, chainsaws, a skin shredder, and a dozen more unrecognizable items I couldn't even believe existed. It should've been illegal to make such objects.

"Authentic, huh?" he yelled as he pried my fingers open. I looked at him in fear of his next moves.

"I didn't mean it," I cried as he slammed my hand over the skin shredder. It looked like an innocent dead skin remover, but with blades. "Don't make me do this," I pleaded.

He chuckled as closed my fingers around the meat grinder. "Choose your pick," he growled, turning me around to face Toni and Professor McGuire.

"No."

He chuckled again and picked up a knife before charging towards my professor, my wrist in his hand. As we neared the innocent, tired man, a tear fell. "Please Rowan," I cried. "He has a family."

Without saying a word, Rowan plunged the knife so deep into Professor McGuire's leg, it came out the other end. Instantly squirting blood as he snatched the knife out, he earned a strained cry of pain from my professor.

I stood there, mouth wide open as he plunged the same knife into Toni's thigh which caused an ear shattering scream to escape her lips. I watched as she jerked back in her seat. He left the knife in her leg as she panted. Was he trying to ease the pain?

"I just hit the femoral artery in both of their thighs," Rowan announced proudly as tears flooded everyone's eyes except for his. "They are both going to die since you couldn't be a good Samaritan and choose one person. They are going to bleed out slowly, or die from pain."

I stared at him and he grabbed my chin, forcing me to look him in the eye.

"You're going to torture them as slow as possible. I want you hear the whimsical sound of their screams, and I want you to bathe in their blood. Bask in the glory of the pain you are causing," he said as a huge grin spread across his face.

His eyes were unreadable as he let go of my face and dropped the grinder.

"You caused this, Scarlett."

This chapter sucked. I haven't been here in months and then I dropped this sappy chapter. I know, I know, I'm terrible. Read the book and vote anyway because you love the cast.

I hoped you enjoyed this chapter. It was a bit of a rush out of this new and profound thing I've discovered called boredom.

Vote, comment, and stay awesome!
