Gerald was more asinine than I'd gave him credit for, with his utterly annoying redundant calls, had he no idea he could menace my situation? The first time I checked my phone, there was 7 missed calls from Gerald alone, I slipped into his contact and changed his name into "Grace" just to be careful.

After our whole ride together for the whole day, the best bit I learned about Alex was his good sense of humour, it was witty and clever. And his way describing things were gratifying, he could have been a good writer. But I would wager money for that to actually happen. Alex being a writer was out of this world.

Long rides always made me emetic while I was but a young girl, but I seemed to change as I grew, and I had no complain about the whole day ride, in fact, it could be even considered enjoyable, somehow. And there were two or three shots of laughter included.

There were three buildings as to what I figured were supposed to be where we crash on, and we were one of the few people who arrived early, Alex was one hell of a good driver, his drive was insanely fast, faster than any drivers I'd ever let drove me, I admitted that I was a little petrified for the first few hours, but then I got comfortable with it soon, besides the fact that he drove fast, his moves were perfectly smooth, it sometimes didn't even feel like we were in a car at all.

There's a lot to learn about this man, I thought as I stood at the entrance of the building we were supposed to stay at, Alex told me Simon was only minutes away now and I was waiting for Simon, who without my consent drove Ashlynn. But what could I do? He had Ashlynn's approbation.

The screeching on the road perked me up as I saw an orange car, which I could tell was Simon's car, I stood a little taller, fidgetingly waiting for Ashlynn who waltz out of Simon's car.

Then there she was, her moves and big smile which was plastered on her face told me without a doubt that she just had the best hours of her life, her eyes glittered with sparkle as she spotted me, her mouth hung open as if she was about to shout but she held herself back from shouting and ran towards me in a haste.

"You would not believe what happened!" She yelled at my ears, while carefully looking around for no one to know she was actually jumping inside.

I wanted to berate her, she knew exactly what Simon was going to cause her, but it was not the time to take away her happiness, as a friend, I was supposed to be happy for her that her lifetime crush just hit on her, and I controlled myself to shove away her happiness by admonishing her and instead hugged her, I promised myself that I would go to any length to protect her smile, "I know, tell me everything at night."

She returned my hug and hugged me back even tighter, a lot tighter. "Of course, I feel like I'm going to die." She said as she snuggled her face in my shoulder. I giggled at her childishness, "No, you're not," I announced.

And a glint of flashlight from another car caught my eyes as it was parked beside Alex and Simon's car. Levi, I thought.

Then Levi, with two girls storming out from his car, slowly walked out, his face showing he didn't have the best time, he looked rather tired.

"Oh, Levi arrived?" Ashlynn asked as she turned around, "Come on." She grinned with a smile as she pulled me towards them, "What are you doing, Ashlynn?" I shot, unable to figure out why Ashlynn would pull me towards them.

Before Ashlynn spit out any words as to why she pulled me towards the demi-gods, Simon noticed us, "Girls," He called out as if we were his sisters, "I'm taking my share." He winked at Alex and came to grab Ashlynn by her wrist as my eyes widened, I was about to yell at his face when Ashlynn's firm eyes told me not to do anything,

"Let them go, they're just beside our room anyway." Alex commented as Simon took Ash away, and what?
Did he just said our room? Our? Levi's usual smirked appeared on his face as he winked at Alex, "Have fun, but be at the bar at night." Then Alex whispered something to Levi before he started walking towards me, I raised my hand in order to warn him not to come any closer, "What do you think you're doing? I asked, the confusion in my eyes would be unmistakable.

"Why? You prefer to stand in this cold weather for the whole night?" He asked as he took my wrist and pulled me with him.

Before I could grasp what happened, I was already inside one room, "What the hell is this?" I m d to myself, but I was sure Alex heard them.

"Your friend is just beside the wall, if that's what you're thinking about." Alex stated as he put my suitcase in the wardrobe.

"Don't tell me Simon and Ash are together in one room." I shouted, I felt as if all my girls' hormones had kicked into an overdrive and I was out for blood.

"They are, and you must know, it was done wilfully with your friend's approbation." He commented, "And if you still want to check up on her, you can go but I can't promise she'd be pleased to see you right now."

"What do you know? Ashlynn is my friend, she would of course be pleased to see me." I fought. "Is that so? Won't she be craving more time with Simon who she has drooled over for years?" I was stunned by his last sentence; how did he know about Ashlynn's overloaded crush for Simon.

"How did you-"

"Simon told me." He answered me before I complete my sentence and I was even more stunned, "Wait, Simon knew?" I asked, more astonished than ever.
"Of course, he was kind of interested in her before, I might say, though he never admits to it." He said casually as he engaged himself with some stuff that was on the room, "But your friend was dating someone back then, someone we...didn't get along with."
"Morris?"

He nodded, "Yes, and ever since then Simon never once land his eyes upon your friend."

Oh, little did they know they broke up because of him, "And why now?" I eyed him, still doubting to believe anything he said. "You'd need to ask him that yourself, Simon has long trails of girls, it's hard to keep track with every woman he's been interested in." Suddenly, he stopped and looked at me, as I was still standing in the middle of the room, trying to figure out all the surprising things that just filled my mind. "Why are you so interested about Simon's interest?" His cold gaze which I thought was gone came back, and he had the same stare from the first day we met.

I flipped my hair, "I'm not," I declared, "I'm just concerned for Ashlynn."

"I didn't know what view you'd like, so I just chose the biggest room." He carried on after I announced I was not interested in Simon, but wait-

"What permission do you have to arrange my room?" I shot, furiously. For a moment, I almost forgot that I was in the same room with Alex, with both our suitcases inside the room, indicating that we were staying together in that very room.

I quickly went over to the wardrobe where Alex kept my suitcase, "What are you doing?" He asked, "Eyes have you, but you see not," I stated, "I'm leaving this room, if you want, you can enjoy the biggest room by yourself." I said, mockingly.

He simply sat down at the couch, "You can try, but I doubt you'll get any other room."

I glared at him, "Whatever do you mean?"

"All the other room is full." He shrugged, "Looks like I'm your only choice." He said as a whimsical expression crept across his face.

"Every single part of that sentence horrified me." I trilled, unable to think straight about how he continuously outsmarted me from the beginning of this morning. "Maybe for a second, you think you got it all figured out." I stated, "I do." He replied, I laughed at his confidence which I was about to prove wrong, "But do you seriously think I don't have any other friends other than Ash which I can run along to right now and crash at their room?" I asked, satisfying myself.

"As I said, you can try." He leans back at the couch, "But you'll come back." He assured me.
