That Night At Toni's

Like I promised, I stayed the night at Toni's. Darlene had gone to the hospital where Lucy was taken too after they called and took along Spencer and Allie with her. Toni was never able to handle death well from other experiences she had been through when she was younger, so Darlene asked for me to watch over Toni. 

Though Toni is seventeen and knows how to take care of herself, Darlene never liked for her to be alone ever since she was diagnosed with depression at the age of fifteen. Ever since then, Darlene has always asked for me to keep an eye on her daughter.

Toni and I were laying on her bed, same position as last time. Toni's arm draped over my stomach, her head on my chest, and me rubbing her arm. It was around nine o'clock and I could tell that Toni was getting tired. She had school tomorrow, but her Mum allowed her to skip it since she probably wouldn't be able to maintain her focus due to the death of her little sister.

I caressed Toni's arm as she fell asleep. I kissed the top of her head and then she suddenly fell asleep. Since her arm was over my stomach, I just stayed in the position I was in so I wouldn't wake her. I sat there thinking. I thought about what the future would be like for Toni and I. I thought about what it would be like if she moved in with me after she graduated. I was thinking way too far into the future because Toni and I just got together, thinking far ahead kind of sounds crazy, but Toni made me happy, and I want to know where we would be in the future. Would we be married? Would we have kids? Would we still best friends and not be married? What if we were no longer best friends? Those were the kind of things I thought about, because I don't want to risk losing Toni at all. She was the only girl that can understand me. I needed Toni.
