Arrival In Seattle

I came off the plane once we landed and said goodbye to Lucy and her daughter. Last thing Lucy said to me was: "Go get your girl, Harry," then her daughter shyly said: "Good luck Harry."

I smiled at the both of them, said goodbye and looked for Darlene's brother. Usually I'd recognize him in a heartbeat, but I couldn't find him anywhere, however, I happened to see Toni instead, which was a major surprise.

"Toni?" I asked walking up to her. I was still very tired so I had no idea if I was seeing things. "Where's your Uncle?" I asked.

"In the car outside. My Mom said he was coming her, and I had the feeling he was getting you for some reason, so I asked him if I could come." She answered softly.

"But I thought--" I said as Toni cut me off.

"I missed you Harry! I can't stay mad at you. I just can't." She said tearing up. "It hurts too much. You're my best friend and first love."

"I missed you too! I missed you the moment you left the hospital."

"I realized that I missed you the morning after we broke-up, because you weren't right next to me. I couldn't take the necklaces you gave me off, because I still love you. I miss being in your arms, I miss waking up by you, I miss the feel of your lips...I miss it all. Two months of none of that. I want all of it back."

My eyes immediately widened. Toni wanted me back as much as I wanted her back. "Does this mean you'll take me back?" I asked hoping she'd say yes.

"Of course it does. I'd take you back in a heartbeat if you asked. I want to be with you forever Harry. I never meant to break-up with you. I was just hurt. I was stupid to do that."

"No, you weren't. I made the mistake by cheating on you, so I deserved what you did. But this means so much to me Toni. I missed you so much."

"I missed you too." She cried the second she hugged me tightly.

Toni was now four months pregnant. The feel of her stomach felt a bit odd since it wasn't her flat stomach, but it felt nice to have in my arms again. Out of nowhere, I felt something move in her stomach.

"Whoa! What was that?" I asked as I pulled away to look at her.

"The babies." She chuckled.

I smiled, because what I felt from inside Toni's stomach was something special that I helped create. When I realized she said babies, I just got happier.

"Babies? We're having twins?" I asked happily.

"Yeah, we're having twins." Toni smiled.

I placed my hands onto her stomach and felt the twins kick. Those were my babies that I was feeling kick. It was so unbelievable. 

"This is an amazing feeling. These are our babies. I can't believe it." I smiled.

"That what I said when I felt them kick for the first time...I love you so much Harry." She said holding my hand.

"I love you so much too." I said hugging her again and kissed the top of her head. "Can I ask you something Toni?" I asked softly.

"Anything."

Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out my Mum's first engagement ring she had when she was engaged to my dad Des. I asked her to use it for my proposal for Toni, and quickly she said yes.

I took Toni's hand, and held out the ring then asked: "Will you marry me?" I asked with a smile.

Toni looked up at me, and smiled as tears ran down her face. "Yes, of course I'll marry you."

Right that second, I leaned in and kissed her. Two months without seeing, hugging and kissing Toni, and here I am, at the airport, kissing her for the first time in two months. It was an amazing feeling. Falling in love with my best friend was the best thing that could happen to me.
