The sun was slowly setting over the horizon, the first day of post-liberation was coming to an end. However, it was a moment of well-deserved peace that everyone had been working so hard to achieve.
For the first time in over a month, every ruler, every guard, every accompanying party could finally let a breath of relief out from their lungs. No one would forget about the great war, and surely the Quintet-Alliance will always be remembered.
The war came to an end just a week ago, it lasted just one day, the shortest battle in history. While both sides fought hard, it ended when the almighty Stathan Prince and guard were forced to surrender. Both men were trampled by Domino and his team of horses. In the last moments of the battle, Domino was the hero.
Before Reese had mounted the black and white horse, she asked him to gather the other trusty steeds and storm the fight, riot style. The horse was loyal to his princess, and he executed his orders within a heartbeat.
The Stathan men left behind in the other kingdoms, were forced to retreat after word of their prince's capture reached their ears. All those kingdoms broke out in celebration, finally free of the chains that bound them.
All that was left was for Reese to be crowned the queen of Asilyra and lead her people into peace with Adarwein. There was still some work to be done with their alliance, but they'll cross that bridge when they get there.
But in the meantime, everyone was getting some well-deserved rest, it was in order.
While walking to the dining hall, both Taehyung and Reese took their time. Each of them stuck close to each other's sides, their hands brushing against each other. Taehyung couldn't help but smile softly as he finally took her hand into his. The prince couldn't help but gush over the softened of her skin and the side of her hand compared to his.
Reese looked up at the prince with a tilted head, wondering why his face was turning red so quickly. It was only then she had noticed their interlocked hands. The blush had spread to her face.
"Your hands are so soft~" he cooed, snuggling his cheek against the back of her hand.
"W-Well your cheeks are s-soft too..." she muttered cutesy, pouting her lips out.
Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle at the princess's flusteredness, gently wrapping his arms around her form.
"You're so cute."
"Aish..." Reese whined. "Let's just go eat."
