Schooled

I'm sitting against a wall in the training room, reading a book about a regular boy who finds out he's the lost heir to the throne. He has to figure out his powers along the way, and is on the run from an evil wizard that's out for his life.
I'm so caught up in my book that I don't even care who's in the room with me. All I can really hear right now is the sounds of a "holographic game" playing in the center of the ring. From what I can tell, one of the two opponents just won. The "computer" suddenly calls out that Superboy's arriving, and he comes marching out of the Zeta tube, looking rather angry. He is angry, considering how dark his aura has become.
I glance up at him for a second before continuing to read. "Hi, Superboy. How was Metropolis?" Megan asks. He doesn't reply. "None too good, I'm guessing. What's got you so angry this time?" I ask. He ignores me as well. I hear someone clear her throat, and look up to see Black Canary and Martian Manhunter walking in.
"Ready for training, everyone?" She asks. "Black Canary! Uncle J'onn!" M'gann exclaims at seeing her uncle, running up to hug him. I sigh, placing my book mark before setting aside my world of imagination. "Megan, I was in the neighborhood so I thought I'd see how you were adjusting." "A few bumps, but I'm learning." She tells him. "That's all I can ask."
"Stick around. Class is in session." Black Canary says. I turn to see Superboy leaving. He turns around, arms crossing his chest. "Training might help you unload some of that anger." I comment. He gives me a dirty glare. I sigh and roll my eyes, standing up with my book in my arms. Black Canary walks to the middle of the training area, which lights up. I stare at it with wide eyes. I swear, I'm never going to get used to all this electricity stuff.
"I consider it an honor to be your teacher. I'll throw a lot at you, everything I've learned from my own mentor... ugh... and my own bruises." She says, wrapping a hand around the gauze on her arm. "What happened?" M'gann asks, worried. "The job. Now, combat is about controlling conflict, putting the battle on your terms. You should always be acting, never reacting. I'll need a sparring partner." She tells us.
Wally's the first with his hand up. "Right here. Yeah." He says, walking forwards. "After this," He says, tossing his banana across the room, into a garbage can, "I'll show you my moves." He flirts. I mentally face palm, going up to stand beside Kaldur. Canary smirks before going in for a punch. Wally quickly blocks, but isn't fast enough, ironically, to dodge her kick, knocking him over. Everyone grimaces at how hard his back hits the floor. A little screen thing pops up beside him saying: Kid Flash Status: FAIL.
"Oh. Hurts so good." He groans. "Good block." Canary tells him. "But did anyone see what he did wrong?" She asks us, helping him up. "Ohh, ohh. He hit on teacher and got served?" Robin asks. I smirk, almost letting out a laugh. Canary's smirking. "Dude!" Wally whisper-yells at him. "He allowed me to dictate the terms of-" Black Canary's interrupted by Superboy, "Oh, please. With my powers, the battle's always on my terms. I'm a living weapon, and this is a waste of my time." He says, staring Canary down. "Prove it." She challenges.
He walks up to her, and Kid steps back to where the rest of us are standing. Superboy throws a punch, but Canary moves to the side, grabs his arm, and throws him over her shoulder. He goes flying across the training area, and lands on his back. Robin starts laughing, and I see him pointing out of the corner of my eye. Kaldur elbows him, and he tries to stifle his laughter.
Superboy gets up, growling. "You're angry. Good, but don't react. Channel that anger into-" Canary's cut off by Superboy lunging at her, ready to throw another punch. She jumps and rolls over him, tripping him as he turns, and he lands on his back once more. Robin chuckles into his hands once again.
"That's it. I'm done." Superboy says, getting up. "Training is mandatory." Black Canary tells him, placing a hand on his shoulder. He shrugs her hand off, turning around to face her. A hologram-thingy pops up by them, showing Batman, "Batman to the cave. Five hours ago, a new menace attacked Green Arrow and Black Canary." He begins. I glance at Canary's arm as we walk up to the screen. A small picture of what looks like an android pops up in the upper left corner of the screen. "The attacker was capable of studying, then duplicating the powers and abilities of it's opponents." The picture zooms out, and plays. We watch as it goes against member after member of the League. "Arrow called in reinforcements, which nearly proved disastrous as our foe gained more and more power with each new combatant."
"Whoa. One guy with the powers of the entire League?" Wally asks. "In the end, it took eight leaguers four hours to defeat and dismantle the android." Batman finished. "An android? W-who made it? T. O. Morrow?" Robin asks.
"Good guess, Robin. But Red Tornado doesn't think so." Batman states. "The technology bears the signature of Professor Ivo." Manhunter explains. Ivo? Who's that? I wonder. "Ivo? But Ivo's dead." Kaldur states, glancing at me before looking back at the screen. "So we all thought, or hoped." Canary comments.
"To make certain this threat is permanently neutralized, we're sending two trucks carrying the Android's parts to two separate STAR lab facilities in Boston and New York for immediate evaluation. Every precaution is being taken." Batman explains, a map showing up, pointing in the middle of the two places the parts are to go to. "We'll have four additional decoy trucks to create confusion, in case Ivo or anyone tries to recover the remains. You will split into undercover teams to safe guard the two real trucks."
"Yes! Road trip." Wally says, smiling big. "So now we take out your trash." Superboy says, glaring. "You had something better to do?" Batman comebacks. Superboy looks away. "Coordinates received. On our way." Kaldur tells him, looking at a screen. We all go to get ready for the road.
