I bit my lip tightly in attempt to hide any sound that wanted to escape from my mouth as my heart sank at those three words.

I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what to say. I was speechless.

I couldn't say those words out loud, I never could. I could only show it somehow. So I raised my hand to cup his cheek instead. Pulling him closer, I kissed him.

Diego placed his hand on my waist and drew me closer, deepening the kiss.

My heart ached when his other hand rested below my ear and pulled me towards him even closer.

My whole body craved more, craved him and when he pulled away for air, I pulled him back in. I was intoxicated, I was intoxicating him, but it didn't matter. Nothing would matter after this.

At least that's what I wanted. I wanted this feeling to last longer cause I had no idea how long it would last.

Soon, he pulled away, but his face stayed just inches from mine.

"Now listen to me." He whispered into my lips. "I see you. I do. I see pain in those beautiful eyes. I'm aware of why and how long it sat there but I see love too, the love you would have given were it not for the scars. It's still there Brienne, and one day I will set you free. There is so much of your life that is a hell for your soul, and you stay there from strength rather than weakness, I know."

Diego closed his eyes and rested his forehead against mine before he pulled away and took my hand into his.

"You are the medicine for this." As he spoke, he placed my hand over his chest, over his heart and then he placed his hand over my chest, just above my breasts. "Let me be the medicine for your heart."

'You're my cure, Brienne.' - His words from the first night I slept with him came back to me.

So that's what he meant? I was helping him forget his pain?

I was trying to find my steady breathing but I couldn't. Also, I was trying to ignore the fact that, basically, he had his hand over my breasts.

But coming to you, to be healed by you, will break me. Coming to you is confusing, yet to stay away is pain.
