"Are you still mad at me?" Diego asked with a small voice.
I knew he was in my room before he even spoke up.
Last night I stayed in another room. I was too mad to look at him. So in order to avoid fighting, I slept separated from him.
And he knew better than to try and talk to me. Even though I didn't want to admit it, he knew me well by now. He knew I needed time to think and calm down a bit at first. And he gave me the time I needed.
However, I wasn't calm yet.
"Yes, Diego. I'm mad at you. I'm freaking furious with you." I spun around to face him, just to find him awkwardly standing in the doorway. Like he was considering it a good idea to take another step in.
"Who gave you the right to decide for me? I trusted you and you did this."
"I'm sorry." He shrugged innocently, smoldering underneath my stony expression. "I just missed you so much. I lost control over myself."
"I should have known better." I scoffed, turning away from him, looking out of the window.
I heard him sigh and then quiet footsteps towards me. He stopped behind me, too close and yet too far as he didn't touch me.
"If you'll be pregnant then-"
"I won't." I cut him off before he could finish that sentence. "I took the pill."
"No you didn't." I could sense his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. "I flushed it down the sink."
And as I turned to face him, there was, indeed, a frown placed on his face, as if that idea of me taking that pill was displeasing.
"I found another one and I took it." I shrugged simply.
"You what?" He gritted out, his frown only deepening in discontent.
