The hooded figure took off his hood and looked at Max, his eyes widened. "Max?" The man embraced the young god, who was a bit confused. "You have your mother's eyes." "Dad?" Derek placed a tender hand on his son's shoulder, "My boy, I'm so sorry. I just...had to keep the two of you safe." Max looked into his father's eyes; he couldn't believe it was his father. "I understand. You're here now at least." Max looked at Mel then back at his dad, "Dad this is Mel." Mel waved, "Hey." "I know you. Everyone knows Melinoe but it's nice to officially meet you, Mel. You're different than what I expected." All three chuckled.

Max walked into the greenhouse, the sunlight coming through the window. He saw the back of Cordelia's head. Derek followed a bit far behind. "Mom?" Cordelia slowly turned around holding a potted plant. "Someone's here to see you." Derek walked closer to Cordelia. Cordelia's mouth dropped open and tears formed in her eyes. "Derek?" "Still the beautiful supreme I see." She put the potted plant down and the two embraced. Max smiled. The two looked at each other, Delia touched Derek's face. "Our son. You did a good job with him. He's amazing." He kissed her. Cordelia looked at Max then back at Derek. "I'm never leaving you two again." Mel walked in and took Max's hand; she was touched by the moment too. "Were you following that herd, dad?" Derek nodded, "I had heard that Hades was about to make a drastic move and he did. At least it led me to a familiar face." Derek smiled at his son.

Max looked at Mel, "Good thing you were there." Mel nodded, "Yeah, controlling ghosts has its perks." "How long can they hold your dad's friends?" "Oh, it could be days, weeks before they find out how to escape. Medusa and the others will beg and beg. But, once they grab hold, they hold on forever." Max nodded then hugged her, "Thank the gods for ghosts." Derek took Cordelia's hand, "I do have to go on a stakeout for a couple of days. I won't be gone long. I promise." Delia still had questions for her husband, "Why didn't you tell me you were a demi-god?" Derek shook his head, "I'm sorry darling. Not too long after I found out about my father being a god and my own identity, I had to leave. So, Max wouldn't be hurt and so you wouldn't be hurt. Our boy is special." Mel chimed in, "Oh, yeah apparently they're calling him the savior god." Mel chuckled. "When do you have to go? I could go with you." His father shook his head, "No, I have to do it alone. I have to leave tomorrow morning." Max nodded; he understood his father's duties. "So, I guess, you'll have to have dinner with us first then. Reconnect and meet some of the coven." Derek nodded, "That sounds great."
