"What is this about, Zeus?" Theos approached the king of gods. "The beam of light, you saw it?" Theos nodded, "Yes." Zeus looked at the clouds that surrounded him then at Theos, "I think the child is a Karras." Theos had a feeling Zeus was right but he didn't know for sure, "Oh?" "Everybody knows of his child, Theos. Including my brother." "And you think Hades will hurt Max's child?" Zeus shook his head, "I don't know for sure. But I have a feeling he won't hurt his grandchild." He talked as if the statement left a bad taste in his mouth. Theos noticed this, "Why do you talk this way? You feel threatened? By the savior?" Zeus scoffed, "Romance the enemy's daughter? Conceive a child with her? Me feel threatened by Karras? That's preposterous!" Theos began walking away, "The savior has something Olympus needs, a good heart."

Max handed his daughter to Derek. Derek smiled looking at the newborn, "Look at you." It was the day after Lydia had been born and they could take her home. Derek held her for a little while then handed Lydia to Cordelia. Mel watched her daughter's grandparents gush over the little one. "I'm going to go double check the car seat", Max told Mel and gave her a kiss. Max just entered the hallway when he heard a gasp coming from the room. He stopped and turned around to head back to the room. There was an evil laugh coming from the other end of the hall. Max looked and saw Hades at the other end of the hall holding Lydia. Max ran towards Hades who disappeared before he could even come close.

Max and Mel approached Hades in the underworld as he held their sleeping daughter. Hades put a hand up, stopping them from getting any closer. "Sh. The baby's sleeping." "Don't hurt her. You don't want her, you want me." Hades chuckled, "I'm not going to hurt my granddaughter. She has so much to learn." Hades looked at Mel then glared at Max. "You took my daughter away, Karras." Mel chimed in, "I wanted to leave you and the underworld long before I met Max." Hades pointed at his daughter, "You are not like them Melinoe." "I know but they accept me, care about me and love me. If you loved me father, you'd let me go. But you don't understand things like that. You don't understand life." "Oh, I understand the fragility of life, darling." Mel looked at Lydia who was still asleep, "You think kidnapping my daughter will bring me back?" Hades looked at Max for a good while then nodded. He looked at Mel, "No." Hades slowly handed Lydia to Mel. Mel took Max's hand and the two disappeared. Hades had a feeling that if Karras was gone, there was a chance Mel would come back to him. What the underworld king did not understand was that his daughter was not all evil like she was raised.

Mel and Max entered the academy with their daughter. "Is she alright?" Mel looked at Lydia, "Yeah, she slept through the whole thing." Gwen greeted the two new parents. "Is that her?" Max nodded, "You wanna hold her? You gotta be quiet." Gwen nodded then the three made their way to a couch. Gwen took a seat next to Max. Mel gently handed Lydia to Gwen. "She's so warm", Gwen whispered. "Yeah. She's all snug in her blanket." Mel saw something in the corner of her eye and did a double take. Her mother was only a few feet away. Mel went to her mother and embraced her. "Sweetheart." Persephone looked at Gwen holding the baby, "You're daughter. My baby has a baby. Hold her close." Mel nodded with tears in her eyes. "I will. Dad, he took her..." Persephone touched her daughter's cheek, "I know, I know. He won't hurt you or your daughter." Persephone looked at Max, "He thinks he is the reason you left." Mel nodded, "This isn't over." "Not yet, Mellie. But it will be." Mel looked at Gwen and Max looking at Lydia lovingly. "I don't want her to run all her life. Not Lydia." Persephone rubbed her daughter's shoulder, "She won't, dear. She'll be strong like you. And her father's the savior." "You want to meet her?" Persephone smiled and nodded.
