Max was zipping up a black hoodie when Misty threw her arms around him from behind. "Good luck, Maxy." He took hold of her arms, "Hey, thanks." He turned around. "You're gonna do great. Be safe." "I will. I have...so many people who believe in me." "You're darn right we believe in you." Max smiled at her, "I'm glad my daughter can learn from you. All you girls." Misty put a hand on his shoulder, "She has a lot to learn from you too."

Mel, Cordelia and Derek entered. "Should we go?", Mel asked. Max nodded. Mel approached him and hugged him tight. "What's wrong?", he whispered. "For the first time in my life  I'm terrified." They released their embrace. He looked into her eyes. "I'm scared too, my love." "What about the curse?" He stroked her cheek, "I won't leave you or my girls and if I ever leave, I'm never gone for too long." Mel looked at him with concern then took his hand. They walked over to his parents. Cordelia hugged him tight. "I know, I know", he said. She touched his face with tears in her eyes, "Stay safe my boy." He nodded, "I will." He looked at his father, "We should go." Mel, Derek and Max all exited the academy.

Nearly every deity was gathered outside the gates to the underworld. Poseidon, Mel and Derek were right beside Max who was at the front of the large group of deities. Max looked at the gates, thinking. "I've never lead before, I can't lie." Poseidon put a hand on Max's back, "You're a natural. You're doing great." Poseidon then chuckled, "At least none of us can die", he said half joking. "Don't know about all of us." Poseidon was confused, "What do you mean?" Max put a hand to P's back, "Let's go." Max turned to face everyone, "You all know what to do!"

The large army of Greek deities moved closer to Hades who was smoking a thin cigarette. "Oh? This is your plan?", Hades said.  Athena, Derek, Ares and other warrior gods rushed Hades, slicing him, stabbing him. Eventually knocking him to the ground. All the gods surrounded Hades. He yelled, "My subjects! Come!" They watch him breathe heavily on the ground, "Come! You must obey me!" Numerous underworld creatures appeared, the warrior gods began fighting them as well as other deities. Max fried a couple of centaurs to ashes. Hades got up off the ground as they all fought for a while. Hades held up a hand to Karras and threw him up against the wall, knocking him unconscious. "Max!" Mel was able to make her way through the violence and touched his face. He slowly woke up. All of a sudden all the creatures disappeared.

"What?! No! Come back!", Hades screamed. "They were being slaughtered anyway!" Poseidon yelled. "It would've taken them hours to resurrect." Hades pointed at his river of souls and then pointed at Karras. The ghosts surrounded Karras. He began backing up and trying to escape; even sending some flames their way. The fire did nothing. Karras was cornered. Mel's eyes turned blue as Hephaestus shot balls of fire at Hades. Mel lured the ghosts away from Max, freeing him. Max joined Hephaestus and they both closed their eyes concentrating, creating a tornado of fire around Hades, trapping him. "My friends! Thank you! Now, it's just him and I!" The deities began disappearing, doing as he wished. "This is the way it has to be!" Mel kissed him passionately. "It's okay, it's almost over." Mel took a step back, "I love you." She disappeared. Hephaestus looked at Karras, unsure about leaving the savior. Max gave him a reassuring nod. Hephaestus disappeared.

"You can't kill me Karras!" "But I can stop you." The fire started to die down. "They only serve me Hades. Have you noticed your creatures are tired of losing? Even as evil as they are. Even though they can't stand me! They have no choice, they are forced to serve you. Those deities chose me, to follow me into battle." The tornado of fire disappeared. Hades was on his knees, breathing heavy. "It's over Hades." "I guess so." Hades stayed on the ground for a second then suddenly put his hand up, shooting out a black lightning bolt looking force. This struck Max in the chest, knocking him to the ground.

Hades rose from the ground and looked at the unconscious savior god. "Prophecy...huh, I defy prophecy!" Hades let out an evil laugh in his victory. "The savior god is dead!" Hades looked at his river of souls. "Did you hear that?! Karras is dead!" Max's eyes slowly opened.
