I get to the kitchen and get the ground beef out of the fridge. I take it out the packet and put it on a hot pan. I pull out my phone and text Netty.

I walk out to the living room and watch Wyatt come to his victory. I cheat with him. " Good Job Wy!" I yell and hug him. "Sweet victory!" He sings out. " Oh my God I'm dating a complete nerd." I joke with Nic. " Yeah, one that I let win." I says with his thick accent. "Yeah okay Nic," Wyatt says with a eyeroll. "I've got to help with dinner." He finishes. I slip my hand into Wyatt's and walk with him to the kitchen. "So the beef is finished but I have to tell you something." I say in a serious tone. "Yeah anything." He responded. "Okay so um, you can't tell anyone." I tell him. He nods in agreement. "So Netty came out to her dad. He hit her and beat her up pretty bad." I look down as I talk. "Are you serious?" He says in a shaky tone. "Deadass." I say, now looking him in his eyes. "We've got to help her."
