Present Day, (any large city of your choice)
Characters: Anti Williams, a very confused Dark Doom

Summer, a great season in Anti's opinion. Plenty of opportunity and fun to have, and that's exactly what the young man was planning on doing. A simple vacation away from his boring office job was exactly what the Irishman needed.

Anti straightened out his shirt and jeans. He checked his messy looking brown hair, grabbed his bookbag and headed out of the hotel door. Well, he made it about a foot away right when he got a call.

Anti reached into his pocket and pulled out the phone to see his mother's caller ID. Anti internally groaned and answered it. "Anti-Pie! You actually answered this time-" the familiar voice shouted. Another voice interrupted Anti's mom. "How does this thing work, you just talk into it? Son? You there boy?" His father practically yelled. Anti flinched away from the phone for a moment before putting it back to his ear.

"Yup, I'm here-" a smack sounded from the other side of the line. "Of course he's there you doof! It's just like any other phone." Anti chuckled as his mom gave his dad a scolding.

The young man shuffled his way down to the hotel lobby, listening to his mother and father bicker about this and that. "Well son, just wanted to check up on ya. Have a good trip, we'll probably call again tomorrow knowing your mom." His dad rushed out before his mom took the phone again, assuming by the static sounds.

"And tell me if you find anyone special, you've been single for-" Anti quickly cut her off. "Okay okay, I get it! I have to go now though, bye I love you guys." His parents said their goodbyes also, and he hung up before his mother could put in another word about his love life. Anti loved his parents dearly, but sometimes they could get so invasive.

One of the hotel employees gave him a sympathetic look as they walked by. Anti's face heated a little, embarrassed by the thought of the employee hearing his conversation.

The man quickly shrugged it off and hurried out the lobby doors, excited for the grand city tour he was about to endure.

Before him was a large beautiful garden. Gorgeous flowers and trees were everywhere, and a statue or two of an animal. But the statue that caught most of Anti's attention was the one in the middle of the garden. It was a man sitting crosslegged with a sad look on his face. His hands hung lazily over his knees.

The young man waded through other people to look more thoroughly at the statue. He read a plaque that sat nearby.

This is the statue of a man frozen in time. No one's sure when it was made, but it's been here for centuries. A certain kind of legend surrounds this statue. It's said that when the statues soulmate touches its hand, the man will be unfrozen.

Then there were a ton more historical facts that Anti just skimmed over. He smirked at the thought of the statue coming to life. Anti shrugged and went over to the statue, getting out his phone. He reached up and held one of the statues hand. He iconically posed with ducklips and snapped a quick selfie with the statue. He was about to walk away, but he couldn't pull his hand away with him.

The man looked up to see that the statues grip somehow tightened on his hand. Anti started to panic slightly. He panicked more when the statue fell on top of him.

From nearby Anti could hear screams, and a few police officers yelling. But non of that bothered him, not as much as the statue did -- or man -- as he should say now.

The other man that had landed on Anti had crimson eyes, raven black hair, and a body that'd make your mother sweat. Well, that was Anti's thoughts on him anyway. The man looked at Anti for a moment before getting up and frantically looking around. Anti scrambled up to his feet, looking at the man, and to where the statue used to be. The young man carefully walked up to the raven haired man, placing a hand on his shoulder. His head whipped around to look at Anti.

The Irishman quietly gulped, unsure of what to do. The raven haired man stepped a little closer to Anti, his own eyes unsure. A police officer quickly barged in. "HEY! What's going on here!?" The other man flinched, shying away from the police officer and closer to Anti.

A woman in the crowd that had gathered yelled out. "The statue! The Legend is true!" Many more people murmured in agreement with her. "Alright people, back it up!" The officer yelled. Another officer walked up behind Anti and Dark. "Come with me please." She said sternly. Dark didn't listen though. He instantly bolted. The police woman yelled, losing grip on Anti's shoulder as he ran after the darker haired man.

Anti dodged people and cars, not knowing why he was running after the other man. He just felt like he had to. Anti caught sight of him and ran faster. His heart felt like it would beat out of his chest.

The man ducked into an alleyway, Anti quickly behind him. The man stuck himself to the wall, taking in deep intakes of breath. The brunette bent over with his hands on his knees trying to get a proper breath in. I need to cut back on the donuts. He thought.

The sound of sirens wailing reached both men's ear. The dark haired man grabbed Anti by the wrist to hide behind a dumpster. When they were sure the police passed, the slumped against the side of the dumpster. "Dark. Dark Doom." The man said. Anti looked up at him with narrowed eyes. The man -- with the newfound name Dark -- looked back at Anti.

"What year is it?" He asked. "2019..." Anti answered. Dark's eyes widened to the size of saucers. "I waited 200 years for you?" Anti was taken aback. "What do you mean?" He said warily. Dark sighed. "I mean, I was frozen 200 years ago. A curse that could only be broken by my soulmate, which happens to be you!" Dark rushed out.

Anti awkwardly cleared his throat after a moment or two. "I- I thought that it was just a hoax." He said softly. Dark smiled while shaking his head. "But it wasn't, I sit next to you now, unfrozen!" Dark put a finger underneath Anti's chin, bringing them closer together. Dark kissed the Irishman softly. When he pulled away, Anti was dazed by the rush of emotions he got. "Unfrozen for love."
