"Damn, I really feel bad for him. You think his baby mother would really fake a paternity test?" Jayda asked as we sat in the living room watching Power and I shrugged. I had just gotten off the phone with Saint's lawyer not too long ago causing Jayda to bombard me with questions.
Everybody had been pretty worried about Saint since the night in Miami and the custody hearing and that was a month ago. Surprisingly he'd been doing really well just trying to keep his name clean.
"I think she'll do anything to make Saint's life difficult but that's not even the worst part. I went back in the court room to get my purse and I see his baby mother talking to the judge.. but not on no professional shit. I'm talking bout like they knew each other, on some real grimey, weird shit, and I don't trust it. So I called his lawyer and told him bout it." I told her
"Was he mad when he found out?" She asked
"Of course he was mad at first mostly hurt but he doesn't know that I saw her talking with the judge. I didn't want to tell him what I saw and stress him out anymore than he already was. He the type to start thinking she setting him up and honestly.. I wouldn't put it past her. I was telling him to take this time and really build a better life for him and Kairi and to clear his name, I didn't want that to sidetrack him. So me and his lawyer spoke about it and he said he'd handle it, that's why he's been calling me." I said
"Damn girl you basically his wife, I never knew you to do shit like this for a nigga that's not yours." She said and rolled my eyes. I didn't do much for these nigga cause I didn't feel they deserved it.. most of them were lame as fuck if you ask me.
"Bitch do you see a ring on my finger? Wife my ass. If you must know it's not even on no relationship shit. Of course we have a connection and we've spoke on things but we just chilling right now and I fuck with him foreal." I told her. To most people me and Saint were probably moving really slow but it worked for us. I consider him my friend before anything, he was the first man who wasn't related to me that came into my life and taught me things.
"Awww that's so cute." She said and I looked at her basically saying stop. She laughed "I'm sorry sis, cute in a non romantic way." She added being funny.
"So what's going on with you?" I asked
"Depends on with what. My job? My parents? My love life?" She asked and I shrugged
Jayda didn't have the best relationship with her mom, and just recently her dad decided to forgive her and let her back in their lives. As you can see she's not too happy about it.
