"Yes, Luke. The wedding is next weekend." Mum informed me. My eyes almost fell out of my head when she said this. We never even talked about a date, let alone a place, or guests, or anything!

"Since when?!" I panicked, starting to pace around the kitchen.

"Jack and Celeste have been planning this for forever. You know this Luke, stop acting crazy." Mum brushed me off, turning back to Ryan. The second I realized she was talking about Jack's wedding, and not mine, I nearly face-palmed myself. How could I forget that my brother was getting married next weekend?!

I took a big sigh of relief and joined the two ladies at the kitchen table. "So, I was thinking Luke you will do your best man duties, then about an hour before the ceremony, you will pick up Ryan. Then, we can meet back at the church."

"Sure, yeah. I'll pick you up at 4 on Saturday?" I asked, turning to Ryan. She nodded her in response.

"Also, I talked to Celeste and she agreed that Ryan should go to the hens party tonight. If you want to, of course." Mum added, looking at Ryan hopefully. I thought it would be nice for Ryan to have some more girl friends and Celeste is a great candidate.

"Oh, I wouldn't want to impose. Besides Luke and I were going to dinner tonight anyways." She responded, looking to me with a pleading expression. We didn't really have plans, but I could tell she didn't want to go so I just went along with it.

"Yeah, we have a date tonight." I played along, looking to see mum's shocked expression.

"Really? That's amazing! I knew you two—" Mum started but I started coughing loudly to stop her from finishing the sentence.

"So, Ryan and I will be in the basement watching movies." I quickly announced, grabbing Ryan's hand and leading her to the door. When we got downstairs, we sat on the couch and I slung my arm around the back of the couch.

"I'm sorry, I know your mom meant well when she suggested I go to the hens party but it's just not my kind of scene," she nervously smiled. I liked it when she did that though, it was cute.

"No, I totally get it. But Celeste is really nice, I think you'll like her. And I know she'll like you." When I said this, I saw a light blush creep onto Ryan's cheeks and I couldn't help but smile. "And we can still go out tonight, you know so my mum doesn't question it." I tried to play it cool but inside I really wanted her to say yes.

"Luke Hemmings are you asking me out on a date?"

"That depends. Are you saying yes?" I asked, smirking.

"Maybe." She giggled, blushing. "What would we do?" She raised her eyebrow at me.

"What if I told you it was a surprise?" I smirked right back, realizing we were hardcore flirting.

"Then I guess I would just have to say yes. Since you have it all planned out already." She responded, shrugging her shoulders.

"It's a date then." I confirmed, grabbing the remote and turning on Titanic, since I knew it was Ryan's favourite movie. I couldn't help but smile to myself, overjoyed that we were actually going on a real date.

Ryan's POV

Luke fell asleep within the first 20 minutes of the movie. His head had fallen into my lap and I was playing with his hair. I realized he probably didn't get much sleep last night, although I was curious why.

I didn't get any sleep last night either because I was up all night thinking. I thought a lot about Luke, our relationship, the wedding and my feelings towards him.

Luke was kind-hearted, humble, passionate, loveable, goofy and so caring. He was also handsome as hell. I was obsessed his beautiful blonde hair and his piercing blue eyes. I adored the scruff on his chin and his jet black lip ring.

He was so sexy, too. I couldn't get enough of the way his deep, Australian accent rang through my ears whenever I thought about him. Whenever he talked, whether it be about something important or nothing at all, I was fascinated. I could listen to Luke talk for hours.

He had so many layers to him, as well. I would never get tired learning everything there is to know about Luke. I wanted to know every fact, detail and inch of Luke. In more ways than one.

I've never been more intrigued by someone before, so I couldn't exactly place my feelings. But I knew I couldn't fall in love with Luke. I don't deserve love and I don't want to be heartbroken. I know Luke would never hurt me but if I fell in love, I would just end up ruining it myself and my break my own heart, and probably Luke's too.

I realized I had zoned out thinking about Luke. When I got back to reality, the movie credits were rolling. I decided to rub Luke's shoulder to wake him up. He sat up with a jolt and looked around confused for a minute before his eyes relaxed, probably realizing where he was.

"Sorry to wake you. I just wanted to tell you the movie ended and that it was 4 o'clock." He slowly nodded, acknowledging what I had said.

"You should probably go back to your house to change for our date." He said, rubbing his eyes. His raspy voice from waking up and his accent mixed, pouring through his words, and I couldn't help but melt inside.

"Okay, what should I wear?" I asked, trying to get a hint as to what we would be doing on our date.

"Something casual and comfy." He responded. I nodded in response, already having an idea of what to wear. I stood up and walked up the stairs, eager to get ready for our date.

When I got to the door, Luke appeared behind me and held the door open for me as I put on my shoes. Just as I was about to walk out, Luke grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around his torso and leaned into his chest. I was extremely comfortable and I could honestly be in Luke's arms like this forever. We stayed like that for a few seconds before he pulled away and flashed his signature smile.

"I'll pick you up at 7." He said and I nodded my head. I walked out to my car and quickly pulled out of the driveway, needing to rush home so I could get ready for our date. Three hours was a lot of time but I needed at least two of those hours to listen to music and dance around my bedroom.
