Wei ying returned back after spending two days under the care of wang house hold. He was in mourning and still weak. He was told to bed rest for some time. But there was a drastic change in him. The always talkative, smiling enthusiastic wei ying was quite.........dead quite.... with a stoic, expression less face. The one who was always so expressive, with either a mischievous grin or cute pout and shining eyes full of life, was most of the time constantly staring with numb expression, either at the ceiling or door with life less eyes, shedding silent tears down his cheeks.

It was like something was dead inside him, and it made lan zhan very worried. But there was very less he could do to bring Wei ying out of this misery, owing to the fact that he himself was equally depressed and was even feeling guilty for everything. So he let him be. He gave him his own space and let time heal his wounds, hoping that he would soon bring himself out of this sadness and move on.
Qiren and xichen occasionally came to visit but watching Wei ying likewise was so painful for them that they stopped visiting. Finally, after few days Wei ying spoke for the first time. And the first word that came out of him was........

Finally the culprits responsible for everything were caught by lan clan investigators and brought in for hearing. After a thorough enquiry, it was found out that the master mind of the whole conspiracy was a lan couple who plotted and executed the plan using and hiring the culprits.
Lan Cangse and Lan changze, (mother and father of sean in the present time) plotted the whole thing.
