It was Cheryl, the in her opinion queen of the school, al though Veronica would definitely not agree with her on that. Veronica and Cheryl couldn't stand each other, and through the years everyone had watched them compete about, who was the most popular.
- Listen beanie-boy
She said looking at him. Jughead was very confused. Cheryl had not once talked to him or even noticed him for that matter, so what could she possibly has to say to him.
- I know about you and my cousin, and I also know that she accused you of trying to kiss that bitch to Veronica
- How do you-
Jughead was utterly confused, but Cheryl cut him off.
- Doesn't matter, all that matters is that Veronica was messing with Betty's mind, and the same goes for Archie
Jughead gave her a puzzled look, not completely knowing what was going on. Everyone at the school knew that Cheryl and Betty were cousins, and they also knew that Cheryl didn't like Betty at all.
- And I know what you're thinking. That you thought I hated her, which I don't. She's my cousin, and I want her to be happy. Which is why I need you to forgive her
She spoke looking at him expectantly.
- I don't think I can forgive that easily
He said in complete honesty.
- Well then think again you dumbass!
Cheryl began to yell, but stopped as she saw Jughead's offended look.
- Look Jug-head.
She sighed.
- In all the years I've known Betty -which is basically all her life, I have never seen her as happy as she is with you. And I know this sounds cliche, but you two are meant for each other. I see the way she looks at you, when you're together
Jughead looked away.
- And don't try to tell me, you don't feel the same way. You need her just as much, as she needs you, so don't let those psychos keep you apart
Jughead had no idea what to think. On one side he really missed Betty, and on the other he was still very mad at her. Cheryl could see, how unsure he was and decided to let him think.
- I'm gonna leave you to think, but before I go, I need you to make sure, you won't say anything to Betty
She said with a serious look. Jughead nodded, and Cheryl turned to leave, but just before she walks out the door, Jughead yelled after her.
- Why don't you want her to know?
She stopped a couple of seconds, before continuing to leave, disappearing into the hallway. Jughead was left alone in the classroom, staring after her, thinking about what she said.
