"Sometimes I wonder how it would feel to forget you." I say looking at the ground.

He remains silent and I can tell his eyes are on me.

He just doesn't know what to say.

"But then I remember I could never." I tell him as I look up.

I was right. He was looking.

Our eyes meet again and they're locked on one another.

"But I know you don't want me like that anymore. And I just don't understand how you could say you still love me when you're trying to convince yourself you don't." I state.

He sighs and shakes his head.

He doesn't even understand it.

He doesn't understand himself.

"I'm sorry." He says his all time famous words.

I smile a bit and shake my head.

"Those words mean nothing anymore. Not because you mean nothing, you mean everything. But because you let those words so carelessly leave your mouth so many times before with no intention to change."
